I’ve never released this footage because the company we hired to make a new glass for me failed. Not only was it late (and very expensive) it was nothing at all like our sketches, but….The show must go on and it being NYE and this being the big finale we had to make it work. I hated how the glass looked but we still had a lot of fun performing this number. Since this act has become a staple @whoopeeclubcabaret we’ve updated the glass but I still reminisce about this first performance together. The audience was electric that night and I don’t think anyone noticed the awful glass. The audience was eating it up. Follow my journey into costume design with this first ever jacket drape. I’m self taught so go easy on me. I decided to drape this s dang thing after purchasing a McCals commercial pattern and hating it. Why don’t they tell you the sizing is all kinds of madness?!? Commercial patterns add 4 inches of ease into their patterns and they are filled with mistakes. I could have saved myself a couple weeks and money on materials if I had known. I second guessed my ability and thought draping a jacket would be too difficult seeing how I’ve never done it before. But when push comes to shove, I ended up trusting my talents and doing it myself anyways. I feel good about this.
Stay tuned for part two where I’ll tackle the sleeve, collar and sew up a toile and see if it fits 🤞
All of this really has me wishing to went to school for fashion design and not graphic design.
All of these photos are the 6-8 minutes of thousands of hours and years of hard work and dedication to creation. I live to create and being on stage showcasing all the hard work is a bonus.

The Smokin’ Cigar act that won me the crown at @burlesquehall revamped and performed on NYE 2019 into the very strange year that was 2020.
