"CS is a concrete stool series designed as a seating object not only for humans, but also for nature. It combines geopolymer concrete with leftover willow tree trunks, while hidden animal habitats hide within its body. These will become accessible when the wood naturally degrades over time.
The one pictured here is CS1, which contains a hedgehog house and a butterfly compartment.
The geopolymers in the concrete reduce CO2 emissions to one-sixth of traditional cement. Because of the uniqueness of the wood, every stool is different and can be adapted to specific ecosystems, making multiple contributions to local biodiversity."

The DON’T LOOK AT THE WATERFALL exhibition was led by a poem, guiding the visitors through the forest. The words taken from GALLERI Kvikksølvs own manifesto, collaged into new meaning. Working with their image, words and trust, we developed a story based on the gallery’s physical and conceptual framework.
A big thanks to @jorgenbryn and @simenazzaz . And for all the help and support on the way from @schieck.schieck.schieck , @slightliest , @taraldsenm and @calvinhein.gh !

Don’t look at the waterfall
The 5th full moons exhibition was hosted by @round.cas and @heddahafseld who presented their vision in the Easter sun and evening moonlight on April 2nd.
@slightliest residency at Galleri Kvikksølv explores how the gallery’s natural surroundings, shifting and renewing with each full moon, shape both the exhibition itself and the experience of its visitors.
Thank you for you stay.

On the second of April, Galleri Kvikksølv will enter the forest. @round.cas and @heddahafseld opened a path through the wilderness, directing your eyes and attention to what is really worth looking at.
The exhibition start at 17.30. We invite you to stay throughout the evening, have some wine, grill some hotdogs and enjoy the warm bonfire. Bring good shoes, and warm clothes, but most importantly, DON’T look at the waterfall!
