I had the absolute honour of leading Loud & Proud for Eastern Angles as part of their nourish programme Feb - March 2026. Here’s some snaps from weekly sessions and our beautiful end of project sharing!
Loud & Proud was all about creating a safe, fun and creative queer space. A place where people were encouraged to be their quirky-selves and a place where we could connect with our voices through singing. Tuesday evenings very quickly became a huge highlight to my week, not just because of the opportunity to be creative but because of the people who continued to attend and fill the room with laughter and positive vibes ✨
For me, Loud & Proud was the first facilitation role I’ve had since becoming a mother and it was also the first time I’ve felt really surrounded by the queer community in a while. It was yet another step in reminding me of my sense of self and of all the things I hope to share with Arlo as she grows… pride 2026 here we come🌈 ✨💖

Today marks the anniversary of my first Gather The Women.
I went in curious about altars, rituals, and circles of women and I found community, sacred time, and a grounded connection to the earth.
It feels just a turn of phrase to refer to this experience as life changing, but I think I was more than a little lost in early motherhood. Taking time for myself was brave, vulnerable and ultimately changed how I journeyed through life from that point on.
I still use the group chat we shared, when it feels right, because it is still an incredibly sacred and safe space. A group of once strangers sharing incredibly personal moments.
I'm so grateful to all the women I met in this GTW and in Her Words Have Medicine, including Lynette who created this incredible experience.
And I'm so grateful to Rosi for guiding us through something so momentous. Thank you. I'll never be able to fully express how much this and you mean to me. ✨
Help me out with some creative suggestions!!
A week of creative play, but what to do, when to do, how to do, and who with!
Any rituals I can add in to get me in the zone? Any funky creative spaces to head to?
Open to suggestions of creative activities, examples: spend the day wearing orange, painting orange, writing about orange items, eating orange food 🍊
The more whimsical the better
Just help me not be alone in a studio or staring at a blank canvas
Quite a long video so won't get shared; if you see it and you know someone that has fun ideas, please share xx
A room full of girls standing still
The music played
The smiles began
But fear of getting it wrong
A room full of girls gently moving
They followed the steps
They listened hard
And now they knew they could dance
A room full of women feeling free
The music played
The smiles began
There could not be a wrong
A room full of women standing strong
They changed the steps
They took up space
And now they knew they could dance
A room full of rules and liberation
The music played
The smiles began
This dance was there for us all
Today's rooms were in Bury St Edmunds Theatre Royal as part of their bloom festival. First I had beautiful and brave young people aged 10-17, then I had a group of incredible, powerful courageous women who brought me a ridiculous amount of joy.
I learnt a lot from both sessions. A reminder of what it's like to be a teenager with embarrassment, contrasting with when you say: go on then, I'll give it a go.
A memory that won't be forgotten for a while.
The African Choir of Norfolk, representing East Anglia and all our home countries, lands and families during the installation of the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury- Sarah Mullally.
A huge honour to be the movement director for the choir's procession during the Gospels Acclamation.
We sang and danced and celebrated who we are, with all the unique differences we bring to our group.
Never could I have imagined what this choir could accomplish, and now what's next?

✨ Celebrating a momentous moment ✨
Huge congratulations to Artistic Director & Choir Leader Anna Mudeka and all members of The African Choir of Norfolk…
The choir has been invited to be part of the historic installation of The Most Reverend and Right Honourable Dame Sarah Mullally, the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury - a truly extraordinary honour and moment of national significance.
The African Choir of Norfolk, a Signature Project of The Autumn Festival of Norfolk, produced by The PBSK Partnership, have been preparing for their performance next week which will showcase the power of music, community and cultural storytelling.
This is a huge moment not only for the choir but for Norfolk’s cultural community and we couldn’t be prouder to see their talent and dedication recognised at this level.
Wishing Anna and the entire choir the most incredible experience. Everyone can tune in next Wednesday for the broadcast of the service on BBC.
Remember this film? I remember feeling so overwhelmed with happiness to be dancing with another human after months of being in lockdown. What a joyful time in amidst a very weird time.
