London Marathon 2023 - A day that tested just about everything.
Rain coming down, streets packed shoulder to shoulder, and moments where it felt like every mile had a little extra weight to it. Needless to say it wasn’t easy.
But some days aren’t meant to be easy. They’re meant to be remembered.
Because no matter the conditions, nothing could take away from what that moment meant. Pushing forward together. Experiencing one of the world’s greatest marathons side by side. Feeling the energy of a city that shows up in a way only London can.
The miles were tough… but the memory is stronger.
Hard to believe this was two years ago.
Boston 5K, 2024. A weekend that still brings a lot of emotion when I think about it.
Andrew and I had the honor of being the official duo for Team Hoyt for the 5k on a weekend that marked the anniversary of one of the final races together for Dick and Rick Hoyt.
That moment meant more than we probably even realized at the time.
To be part of something that means so much to so many…to help carry forward a legacy that changed the sport and redefined what inclusion looks like…it’s hard to put into words.
Moments like this remind me that running has always been about more than just the miles.
Thank you Russ..and the entire Team Hoyt for letting us be a part of the special day.
Grateful. Always. 💙💛🧑🏼🦽🏃🏼💨
Grateful doesn’t quite cover it.
Andrew and I are truly humbled to be honored with this year’s Inspiration Award from the Hoyt Foundation and the MetroWest YMCA.
What made the morning so special wasn’t the recognition — it was the people. Being surrounded by our Hoyt family, alongside incredible individuals like Mike DiDonato, Brendan and Jacob, is a reminder of what this journey is really about — community, love, and showing what’s possible together.
To be recognized alongside Bobbi Gibb, who helped open the door for women in the Boston Marathon, was incredibly meaningful and a powerful reminder of how one act of courage can create belonging for so many. The mission of the YMCA, building community and creating a place where everyone belongs, mirrors exactly what we’ve experienced through the Hoyt family and through duo running.
Thank you to Rick and Peter for such a special morning.
We’re incredibly grateful to be part of this community. Hope to see everyone again soon!
As the 2026 Tokyo Marathon kicks off this morning, I’ve found myself reflecting a lot on this week from last year.
It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year since Andrew and I crossed the finish line in Tokyo, completing not only a race, but a moment that changed us forever.
What stays with me most isn’t just the milestone, not even the sixth star…it’s the people.
To our friends in Japan — thank you. For your kindness. For your generosity. For your belief in something new. You embraced duo running with open hearts. Because of you, what was once unfamiliar became something understood and now something shared.
I feel like in Tokyo, I see now it wasn’t just about the run, it was about building lifelong friendships. We felt a culture of respect, warmth, and joy that continues to shape our journey.
Helping to bring duo running to Japan has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Watching it grow from a moment into a movement is something I will never take for granted.
So today, as all the athletes lace up their shoes and toe the start line, I’m filled with gratitude and love for the Japanese community — especially the friends who made us feel at home from the very beginning.
Tokyo will always hold a special place in my heart.
Arigatou gozaimasu.
SATX Marathon in the books! What a day, what a course. Thankful to have been able to party around our city in style. Andrew and I couldn’t be more grateful for all the support and 🫶🏻 on course today, y’all are the best.
Capping off this big year of running here in our hometown was special. Way to show up San Antonio. ❤️
More later but now I know Andrew, and I, need a little rest.

Baseball has a way of teaching us life’s hardest lessons long before we’re grown enough to understand them. Sometimes you work hard all season, you do everything that’s asked of you, and the game still doesn’t go the way you hoped. You don’t get the innings you thought you earned, the position you’ve prepared for, or the moment you were dreaming about.
But these are the moments that shape a player far beyond the field. They teach resilience. They teach humility. They teach that effort isn’t wasted just because the outcome wasn’t what we wanted. And they remind us that confidence isn’t built only by success—it’s built by choosing to show up with heart, even when things feel unfair.
In baseball, as in life, we can’t always control the lineup or the calls that get made. What we can control is the way we respond: with character, with class, and with belief in ourselves. Those are the lessons that stay with us forever… long after any season ends.
Couldn’t be prouder of this kid. Great groups of boys. Great group of parents. Great season Tribe.
What. A. Day. 2025 NYC Marathon in the books.
More to come later but wow, from start to finish the day was magical. 3:28:30 was not long enough. Thank you NYC. Thank you @onedanaatatime and @kellyclamb for letting Andrew and I be a part of something truly special.

Tomorrow we run.
26.2 miles through the boroughs. Been a few years since we were here and Andrew and I couldn’t be more excited to be back - this time with Team Reeve.
Let’s do this.
