‘What’s the point in all this?’ - Part 1 - 🎬 by @shots_with_alex Far too often, personality and intent are lost in a barrage of stills and ‘gear shots’ in the world of professional audio engineering. Speaking from @glowormrecording ‘s ‘Carrier Waves 2 Mix Room’, this is part 1 of my ‘one take passion-rant’ on the importance of working with a person you can trust to take your art to the next level. Uncompromised, high end audio equipment are the tools for us at the studio, but they’re useless if you miss the most important point - ‘serving the art’. Working at a high end studio shouldn’t be a stressful concept, especially if your budget is tight, there are many roads you can follow in your journey to letting the music speak.

I leave Brooklyn once again - with gratitude, love, experience & a new album ‘Inner Space’. Every time I make an album it’s different, no ‘cut, copy & paste’ in any sense of the word. I bring everything I’ve learned onto the next one and at the same time, find new ways to present it. Always learning, always loving it. A huge thank you to all my bandmates, musicians, artists & music makers who have helped make this, again with no compromise on the vision I had to make it on this scale. @joelhamiltone & The Studio G family, to my beautiful family for supporting and making it easy to go do these things, to @creativescots for supporting original artists realise all potential and try level the playing fields to compete with the industry. To everyone who has sent messages of love and support and positivity. It means everything. ‘Inner Space (Narration by Conrad Roberts)’ has released today! This one is truly special, to realise the dream of having someone who has informed my Music since the day I first heard his voice is wild. To be honest I never even thought it was possible and yet here we are. Conrad Roberts words on the @milesdavis ‘Live Evil’ song ‘Inamorata’ has been informing my music from the day it hit my ears. To create a ‘spiritual sequel’ to this and on Miles’ centennial is quite special and serendipitous. To have one of my great teachers @joelhamiltone Mix & Produce this is amazing and grateful we could do this together. To have @rossdavidsaunders Engineer & Produce is another dream we get to keep doing. To the band @mamaterraband who put it down with the Love & Passion they did - I am proud. To work with my long time Art Director @gordonjamesbeveridge is a blessing, & new collaborators like the amazing @theayoubsisters on this one, is very exciting. To @rudlanddean & @acidjazzrecords for again taking a chance on this weirdo music - I am always grateful!
