Back from a dream of a week in London Town, up to all sorts but mostly learning from the best @cafe_deco_bloomsbury . Mind especially blown by the small slotted spoon. Also lots of special family and friends time, which it sometimes feels hard to keep on top of from distant Cornwall. The allotment has not been idle in my absence though !Cardoons are over head height and everything has leapt on with the warm lengthening days. Time for a serious broad bean podding session this evening. Thanks again to everyone @cafe_deco_bloomsbury !! Yummy food not pictured was also had @burro_restaurant , @leos.london and @tiella_trattoria - the industry is tough as hell right now but these guys are clearly doing a lot of things right. Rose Maxwell x Pullo 4th June 2026 6PM & 8.15PM 4th June 2026 This is going to be great! @rose_maxwellll is coming to do a popup here - with her own produce grown at organic market garden, @mora_farm in Cornwall! Having trained and and worked her way up the ladder at the renowned kings-of-pasta, @padella_pasta , and their fine-dining Italian sister restaurant, @trullo_restaurant , Rose left London and moved to Cornwall 5 years ago to take over the kitchens as Head Chef at @coombesheadfarm . Embracing what’s in season and focussing on farm-to-fork produce, Coombeshead is renowned for celebrating the best local produce. In this time Rose has focussed her cooking style on a passion is for simple, good cooking, inspired by the farmhouses of Britain and Europe. She’s now cooking and growing her own produce at Mora Farm, an 11 acre organic market garden near Liskeard in Cornwall with popups across Cornwall and the south-west. Booking includes all food for the evening and a welcome drink. Come and cook with me! We’ve just released another workshop @coombesheadfarm , celebrating the joys of early summer produce. Plan for the day is tbc, but it will probably involve using a pickle, a pastry, their amazing chickens, and of course the garden’s glories. Lots to enjoy on the day and lots to take home. The hungry gap trying its best to dampen my gardening spirit, but it’s not winning! All a bit chaos, but with the chaos is coming so much life and vigour! Loving the green manures with chervil sneaking in, the buzzing broad beans and these longer evenings. The currants are flowering, the chard refuses to stop pumping out their jazzy leaves. Elephant garlic standing proud amongst it all. Comfrey tea for the tomatoes is on the go, and got some motherwort and oregano drying out for tea for us too.

Heller lunch down at @prideauxwalledgarden today, thanks so much to the team and everyone for coming. In non eating order, Walnut pain de gene, rhubarb and custard, Springos and ricotta Piggy tonnato and watercress Massive shout outs to @trevozah @mora_farm @philipwarrenbutchers @tamargrowlocal and of course Fred at the allotment for all the epic produce. Happy Easter! This time next month (3rd May) I’ll be cooking Sunday lunch @agweres near Newquay! Info on their website if you did fancy booking in.

Another great dinner cooked at the ancient, wonky and brilliantly restored Merchant House in Launceston last night. Rice pud, clementines and clotted cream, after some other late winter delights including a giardiniera made with beautiful @coombesheadfarm cauliflowers. I’m doing one more in March but I think it’s sold out!
