It's back!! This Town will be on @contactmcr on the 6th and 7th December. Get tickets whilst you can. It's been an amazing journey. This poem began in a notepad to be performed at open mics. I really couldn't have predicted where it has taken me. From getting published with @verve.poetry.festival the two person play last year, this year as a one man show at the #Edinburghfringe. A BBC writers nomination. So come and join me for a final time! Dean, Joe, Liam, Clara! The whole gang as they navigate this mad thing we call life. What makes this event even better is that @culainwoodthepoet will be doing a 15 minute set before the show. He's one of my favourite writers in Manchester and his poems are 🔥🔥 Get your tickets whilst you can xx

The two books which started it all. Doglike @bearded_badger_publishing Within These Cobbled Streets @verve.publisherofpoetry Over the last couple of years I feel very lucky to have been commissioned by @derbytheatre @curve_leicester @contactmcr @thepleasance to turn these books into #ThisTown It's allowed me to explore these worlds and characters in a way I'd never really have imagined. #ThisTown is on for a final time @contactmcr December 6th and 7th. Come down, enjoy, I'll tell the story over a couple of pints. You'll laugh, cry, and really understand why we refer to my home town as Derbados. It's ace but abit complicated. That's also how I'd describe the show. See you there x

A cafe in Osaka, a crossing in Tokyo, a coat in Kyoto, a metro ride through Hiroshima and a very strange short story I finished whilst there. Have a read on my substack Link in bio as always! It goes without saying the views of the main character don't match my own! I don't believe in violence or Alien Lizards Xx

Hi everyone! I've finally had a bit of time off, and with that I've been writing new pieces and revisiting old bits I never let the world see from a few years back. The first is a piece where I compare the absolute donut Jim Ratcliffe to Smaug from The Hobbit. Sorry, I couldn't resist! You can find the essay on my substack (link in bio) Also, I recently read The Hobbit for the first time. I never usually read magical fantasy, but really enjoyed it, and would fully recommend! Enjoy your Tuesday. xx
