It’s been a buzzing Easter across our portfolio. 🐝
At 201 Kent Street, we celebrated our first honey harvest with @rooftopbees and the onsite team, with 33 kilograms collected and over 300 jars of honey shared with our building community.
Our bees also made their debut at the Sydney Royal Easter Show’s Sydney Royal National Honey Show. In a field of more than 400 entries, our hives at 120 Collins, 201 Kent Street, Barrack Place and 420 George Street all scored 80+ out of 100, with 420 George leading the way for Investa on 89 out of 100.
Rooftop beehives are one way we support biodiversity and help reconnect our built environment with nature as part of our ESG strategy, Transform Tomorrow. Thank you to Rooftop Bees and everyone involved in caring for our hives!
It was all smiles at Barrack Place as we harvested the first batch of rooftop honey from their thriving beehives on level 20 where nature and the city come together. So many stories were shared, so many smiles and laughs. A truly connected community. Let’s create a buzz together in your building!
In August 2025, 120 Collins Street welcomed unexpected tenants: 120,000 Honeybees.
Two beehives were installed on the rooftop in partnership with Rooftop Bees, and will produce around 100 kilograms each year. The honey will be harvested sustainably and shared within the 120 Collins community.

Did you catch Saturday night’s banquet feast? Riding off the yums of that dinner, I decided to cook up another Aussie Chinese classic for today’s dinner .. honey chicken.
Marinated and velveted chicken pieces were deep fried until golden. Coat the fried chicken in a lightly seasoned honey sauce and garnish with sesame seeds. I brought things up a notch when I took out my jar of yuzu honey, to make the all important sauce of this dish’s namesake.
I love the shine of the sticky, honey sauce. Glistening on the plate, the chunks of honey coated chicken dances back and forth between the sweet and savoury. The crunch of batter is wickedly audible as it is visible; and when flavour and texture both come to the party, you’re guaranteed a good time.

🍯 Honey Activation in Brisbane City 🍯
This morning we elevated the breakfast buffet experience with a curated honey activation, featuring ricotta crumpets paired with premium honey selections. Guests enjoyed a range of flavours, from pure Brisbane and Sydney honey to infused yuzu and chilli, with strong engagement throughout the service.
We are proud collaborators with @rooftopbees and value the opportunity to share our expertise and promote urban beekeeping within Brisbane City corporate offices.

Come behind the scenes of the Australian Parliament House bees managed by beekeeper Cormac @jagungal1 . Cormac generously volunteers his time to look after 6 beehives with the honey harvested used as gifts in Parliament and sold in the gift shop. He’s even had the odd politician or two join him down at the hives. Thanks for a great morning Cormac. Next time we hope to see you in Sydney at one of our rooftop sites!
