A balanced design approach incorporating functionality, performance and style makes our Core Blocksℱ the right choice for performance cruising or racing applications. A tuned 2-stage bearing system provides excellent performance across the full working load range with an integrated thrust bearing feature and the resilience to handle high dynamic or static loads. Acetal & aluminium sheave options, alloy cheeks and stainless fixings complete the durable package. _________________ #ronstan #ronstansailing #coreblocks #sailinglife #sailing #sailinghardware #blocks #explore #ycass

For the second time in less than one year, American offshore sailor Erica Lush will sail in the prestigious @lasolitairedufigaropaprec regatta series. Watch the start of the first race LIVE, Sunday May 17, beginning at 4am ET (or enjoy the replay with your morning coffee): /live/9CNhvalZ1QQ This is a three-leg, singlehanded offshore sailing competition known for its challenging conditions and elite competitors. She would become the first American sailor, regardless of gender, to complete two Solitaires if she successfully crosses the finish line. “It’s just one day to the start and I’m feeling relatively calm, all things considered, which is surprising for me. The leg is meant to be really windy, it’ll be an active cold front with up to 35 knots of wind. But it’s not like that the whole time. Because much like last year’s trip to Vigo, there is going to be a total shutdown before we reach the Spanish coast. So we have to navigate that shutdown and then start to play the coast in order to reach our destination. It’s going to be really a game of sailing fast and preserving yourself for brain power at the end of a really long leg. So hopefully this will be a game of endurance and who can manage their sleep and well-being the best to stay sharp for the end.” - E.L. @mustangsurvival  #livebeyondland @wichard_marine  @ronstansailing  @profurlsailing  @sparcraft_mast_rigging @stormtrysailclub #NYYCPerformanceSailingFund #NewYorkYachtClub @sailingfdnny @classefigarobeneteau  #lciNaissentLesLegendes #LaSolitaire

That sweet whirr-click-zoom 🔊 Powered by the new E2 motors, enjoy fast sheeting at low loads, smooth low speed control for higher loads at the push of a button and when you want ultimate pace, manually activate the third gear on the three speed model. Time to get sailing. #RonstanSailing #E2Plus #ElectricWinch #TimeToSail

Great hardware starts with the right conversation. For decades, Ronstan has partnered with designers and sailors to deliver custom hardware that work on the water, not just on paper. As the season approaches, it’s worth asking is your hardware working as hard as it should, what could be refined, and where a custom solution might make a difference. If you’re working through a specific challenge, there’s a good chance the solution does exist and if it doesn’t, it’s something we can build together. Meet Norn to be Wild, an all-women team lining up for the R2AK - Race to Alaska - an engineless test of endurance, seamanship, and resolve. Sleep deprivation, hypothermia, boat breaking logs, currents topping 10 knots, and no guarantee of even reaching the finish line are all part of the deal. So why do it? The team says it best themselves. Take a read to discover what drives them and how Ronstan has helped get their boat rigged, refined, and ready for the adventure ahead. 👉 https://bit.ly/4tXIcaK @sailnorn #R2AK #RaceToAlaska #NorntoBeWild #WomenWhoSail #TeamRonstan

things to remember when tacking in an Optimist ⛔ Tacking may look simple, but the small details make a big difference. The goal is to keep the boat moving, stay balanced, and finish the tack ready to continue sailing. When you push the tiller away from you, keep your eyes on the sail Use your body weight to heel the boat and help it turn smoothly Move to the other side by bringing your body forward, not falling backward Once the boat completes the tack, switch the sheet and tiller behind your back Settle into your new position, trim the sail, and keep sailing Practice it slowly first. Once the movement becomes smooth, speed will come naturally đŸ’šâ›”ïž #OptimistSailing #SailingTips #JuniorSailing #LearnToSail #SailingLife

What a day! Who would’ve thought we’d get 26°C and a perfect N/E 10–15 knots in May and 80+ Optis!, couldn’t have asked for better conditions 🙌 Here’s a sneak peek of the prize ceremony, thanks to our official photographer James @mainsheet.in . Plenty more photos and reels coming your way this week 📾. - Results link in BIO It feels like a Star Wars opening scroll trying to thank everyone, but this event truly runs on volunteers, the support of the three clubs @woollahrasailing @rsys1862 @hunters_hill_sailing_club , and the generosity of our sponsors. So good seeing so many kids walking away with prizes — those smiles say it all 😄 Big thanks to WSC and all the volunteer parents for an amazing day. To RO Ben Howell for stepping back in Opti land to run racing and to the Interclub crew working behind the scenes non-stop to keep everything running smoothly. Most of all, thank you to our sponsors (listed below). The kids absolutely loved it
