Ron de Mexico para conmemorar la batalla de Puebla el 5 de mayo. Both 100% sugar cane juice and wild fermentation! Paranubes is fermented in a pine vat, distilled in a 6-plate copper still, aged in new American Oak. Camazotz is made in a copper alembic still. ¡Viva Mexico 🇲🇽!
March 31, 2026 - Caña Rum Society and @therummingbird presented a selection of Duncan Taylor’s single cask, barrel strength, unaltered rums. It was a rare opportunity to sample 9 exceptional expressions spanning different distilleries, styles and countries, all aged between 13-24 years. Wow!
Thanks to @therummingbird , @singlecasknation and @johnstoneyellin for bringing 5 excellent single cask rum expressions, aged 10 to 18 years, from Spain, Trinidad, Guatemala, Guyana and Bahamas to share with Run Society @canarumbarla . This was the first time Jason had a tasting of 5 SCN rums together. Hooray!
To prepare for a day of feasting, @canarumbarla Rum Society had a special Fat Washed Rum Night… @therummingbird cooked up 4 delicious 😋 expressions for us to try. Finally got to taste the @rumetaliae Baseline, Dunderclap, and Tailspin expressions. The LA, solo-woman distiller, brings transparency and experimentation to her small batch craft rums, and they are all delicious. Thanks to @canarumbarla and @therummingbird for another fun gathering of the Caña Rum Society. And many thanks to Robin for sharing her process and rums with us.
