happy march! this show was in december? yeah.. i dropped the ball on posting, but here is my spongebob look from tooth & nails “roll credits”! @toothandnailsdrag has always been my favorite place to pull out something new and really embody my art. they create a really comfortable, welcoming environment for performer and audience alike to just be. it has been a very special place where i have felt things click about performing, and learned how to truly express what i am imagining in my head. it has been incredible to share this space with you over the last two years. also yes, the rumors are true, i am moving to australia next week! i will be continuing to do drag, so don’t worry, you aren’t losing me! i will be supporting and adoring the twin cities community from afar. i am full of gratitude for my experiences performing in minnesota and the many people that i have gotten to know along the way. thank you for teaching me so much about myself, my art, and performance. with love, ron xx

over a week later, it’s finally time to reflect on my experience with mx. heart on! my package was a love letter to myself. i wanted to make something that i would love, feel proud of, and be truly authentic within. everything that i put together is fundamentally me. i loved pulling inspiration from fantasy and renaissance style looks, along with adding drama in my own ways. above all, i love what i was able to put together without allowing it to cause too much pressure on my mental health. i’ve always struggled with balance and i am very proud of how this package came together in my life, and on stage. before i had even cemented my runway plans, my talent number came pretty naturally to me. i knew that i wanted to sing, i knew that i wanted to bring gender fvck in fantasy, i knew i wanted a cape. i’m obsessed with what i put together and am so excited to use this look again. i’m never going to be done adding to this look, i swear. singing has been an important part of my life since i was very young. to be able to pursue it for an audience after over a year on hrt is wild and not something that i had even dreamed to be possible. it’s been an emotional part of my transition and the overwhelming support means the world to me. from the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting me and my continued journey as an artist. thank you to @dragmewithaspoon for selecting me to participate in the 5th annual mx. heart on pageant. thank you @starryknight.photos for these amazing pics of the night. thank you @pippin_panic for making my talent background. i love the feeling that was encapsulated in his art and i’m so grateful to have been able to collaborate with him on this piece. my nails were beautiful customs from @manicuresbymojave to match both of my looks. the hair for my runway was styled by the amazing @fruitywigs ! it’s such great quality and i am so excited to have this in my collection. last up, thank you to my best friends @crow.shay.gay and @icarus.is.rising for offering me so much support within this process. i could not have done something like this without the support and guidance of the people who i care about most. thank you all. 🩷🤍🩵
