8 years since Pop City: the tallest building I ever design!! Such a gorgeous building in NYC 🍎 🗽🚕it was once derelict before it was taken over by @industrycity and they ask me to paint it. Recently I reconnect with @rom_thom to who made a documentary about this trip. I love to revisit this project. Because of the NYC’s permits we were not allowed to paint it ourselves… this was the first time I wasn’t physically holding a paintbrush on one of my jobs and it was both exciting and nerve racking! Homeland Security is about to paint the border wall black so that it becomes scorching hot and prevents people from climbing it… Wow, why not putting electricity to be even more cruel!? A few years ago at @vice we did the exact opposite and followed Mexican-American artist @anateresafernandez as she was “erasing the border” 🖌️☁️ This piece was part of a doc series made in collab with Johnnie Walker - a good illustration of their tagline "Keep Walking". It was even recut into a short that premiered at @hsdff 🎬 @vangobaz @lauraherrerogarvin @pampanther @rogerrosswilliams @alvertof @joeytijuana @saulocisneros @tonytee664 @lbegley3 many others.

Kicking off the season with the launch of my new website (🔗 IN BIO), featuring a mix of new and older projects I have ❤️‍🔥 for. Each week, I’ll be sharing a video from one of these works. 👁️ Week 1 - “Glass Candy”: for a collection of glassware designed by @selmadurand I drew a parallel between glassblowing and fine dining, two transformative crafts that come together in a display where the container elevate the food, both literally and metaphorically, creating the illusion of a recipe floating above the dining table. En route to GonzoFest 2025 in New Orleans to present my short doc "Fear and Loathing in San Francisco" to a crowd of gonzo poets, journalists, writers, filmmakers, photographers, artists, editors... The only person missing will be the Doctor himself. Long live Hunter, long live Gonzo! Initially released on French TV channel @arte.tv as part of the show "Destinations", the doc covers Hunter S. Thompson's early years in the city of counter culture, where he cut his teeth as a young journalist, eager to tell the story of flamboyant outcasts that nobody had dared to approach before him.  Thank you @marharrell77 and @gonzofest2025 for having me!
