Roland Grabkowski© Odkryta w 2022 roku, licząca ponad 6000 lat Kołobrzeska Wenus stanowi unikatowy przykład wyobrażenia antropomorficznego okresu neolitu na terenie Polski. Uproszczona, symetryczna ale podkreślająca cechy płciowe kobieca sylwetka odgrywała rolę symboliczną. I choć nie ma pewności co do funkcji jaką pełniła, to przypuszcza się, że związana była z kultem płodności. Jest coś intrygującego a zarazem pięknego w tym tajemniczym artefakcie. Szczególnie, gdy spróbujemy zestawić archaiczny, sugestywny sposób obrazowania z postmodernistyczną wizją rzeczywistości. Szybko otrzymamy podobieństwa formalne ale i daleko idące sprzeczności znaczeniowe. Czy współczesna Wenus ma dualistyczną naturę? Wciąż witalna i świadcząca o kobiecości w jej tradycyjnym ujęciu. Z drugiej zaś strony groteskowa, wygasła bogini wyznawców teorii "złego antropocenu". Czarna niczym rzekomy ślad węglowy macierzyństwa. Czarna Wenus została odsłonięta 9 sierpnia 2025 roku w Sali Kominkowej klasycystycznego Pałacu w Bukowcu (woj. Dolnośląskie) w ramach rezydencji artystyczno-naukowej "Piękno jako medium" organizowanej przez prof. Zbigniewa Solskiego. EN/Black Venus Discovered in 2022, the over 6,000-year-old Kołobrzeg Venus is a unique example of anthropomorphic representation from the Neolithic period in Poland. The simplified, symmetrical female figure, emphasizing sexual characteristics, played a symbolic role. Although its function is uncertain, it is believed to have been connected to a fertility cult. There is something intriguing and yet beautiful about this mysterious artifact. Especially when we attempt to juxtapose the archaic, evocative imagery with a postmodern vision of reality. We quickly encounter formal similarities but also far-reaching contradictions in meaning. Does modern Venus has a dual nature? Still vital and testifying to femininity in its traditional understanding. On the other hand, she is a grotesque, extinct goddess of the believers of the "bad Anthropocene" theory. To all the beautiful Helens in the room – would you choose a modern-day Paris? And to all the modern-day Parises – would you choose VENUS? At the Palace in Bukowiec, we sought answers, blending myth and art – from the contemporary Venus by Dr Roland Grabkowski, to the reflections of Prof. Andrzej Dąbrówka and Prof. Zbigniew W. Solski. We were joined by Prof. Anna Kołodziejczak (paintings) and Dr Kamil Moskowczenko who also presented his paintings. Online sessions: Aug 7 – Dr Ewa Chudyba, Aug 8 – Dr Martyna Groth. Take a look at how I made the Monument of the Artistic Person. I start by making a prototype in plasticine, then I create a gypsum mold, which I coat with Acrylic One material. Once that's ready, I prep it for airbrush painting. That’s the whole process in a nutshell Zobaczcie jak wyglądał proces powstawania Monumentu Osoby Artystycznej. Zaczynam od rzeźbienia prototypu w plastelinie, następnie tworzę formę gipsową, którą pokrywam masą Acrylic One. Gdy pozytyw jest już gotowy, przygotowuję go do malowania aerografem.
