nothing good will come easily! I do have a progress highlight, but not everyone new who lands on my account might have time to go through them, so this montage is both for those who remember the first clips and for all the new faces that have joined here recently too, as a reminder we ALL start from scratch even if you were lucky enough to have previous experience in movement, dance or gymnastics (which I definitely didn’t have)
as children growing into young adults, we are often limited to our parents resources and beliefs of what society thinks we should do. this is why as adults we realise what a privilege it is to have parents who invested in our extra curricular activities, and what maybe could have been if we’d started our passions younger.
I started at 21, and for me rollerskating was my choice to become happy and invest in myself instead of potentially losing myself or heading down a darker path in my life. I will talk more about my reasons one day for sure but for now - this is me, present day at 25 years old, literally pinching myself every single day that this became my real life job😭
whether you’re a long time friend here or a new face, this is your reminder you’re doing it for you in 5 years from now🫶🏽 trust the process!

my last video ruffled a couple of feathers but I promise this tip is a lot less controversial and more universally accepted, so welcome back to sitspin secrets! class is officially back in session👩🏽🏫
for me personally, a lot of the tips I’m breaking down and separating are LAYERS or ingredients of a cake, and one won’t work without the other ones. I am aware I sitspin in a very specific way which some people love, some people don’t, and some people genuinely can’t reach due to things like knee replacement surgery or other various injury around that joint.
that all being said, the MAIN reason I see people fall out of a sitspin (fully sat or not) is usually due to a discrepancy in posture or shoulder position in alignment with the hip. this principle also helped me massively with my normal toespins when I was learning, and helps create a rectangle shaped alignment in the upper body from the front, keeps the core tight, and also helps with alignment looking on the upper body from the side too.
