It’s such a testament to a skater’s (or dancer’s) mastery to make really simple movement captivating. I think about that a lot during my practice.
I try to go deeply, asking myself about the various components of a move. What edges are at play? How much bend in my knees? What should my posture be? Where should my weight shift throughout? Which muscles am I not fully engaging? These are some helpful questions for workshopping new or even old things!
Always a process of growing, but me compared to me a year ago is light years ahead in that pursuit of simplicity. Ngl, pretty proud of it ☀️

This was without a shadow of a doubt, one of the best experiences of my life. Hundreds of New Yorkers dressed to the 9’s in decadent costumes…it’s a must. It’s worth traveling for. Add it to your bucket list.
NYC surely has one of most vibrant and energetic communities, dancing in the cold until the wee hours of the morning. A site to behold.
