From structural questions and technical feasibility to coordination, design and project management — website for Reseda. The site gives an overview of the furniture range, explains each piece, links to preconfigured examples and at its core: a configurator that allows every variation to be visualized and calculated.

The Swiss Grand Award for Design 2026 is awarded to three outstanding positions that have shaped Swiss design and continue to expand its horizons: atelier oï, Ursula Hiestand and Simone C Niquille. On the recommendation of the Federal Design Commission, the Federal Office of Culture (BAK) honors three positions whose work has had a lasting impact on Swiss design culture at both national and international levels. Their practices span architecture, product design, graphic design, research, and media-based work, reflecting the diversity of contemporary design in Switzerland. @atelier_o ï is recognized for its interdisciplinary practice that combines product design, architecture, scenography, and material research into a poetic and internationally influential body of work. Ursula Hiestand is honored for shaping Swiss graphic design and the visual culture of everyday life through clarity, precision, and social responsibility. Together with her husband Ernst Hiestand, she led the Zurich-based studio E + U Hiestand from 1960 to 1980, and subsequently pursued an independent career with a strong focus on socially responsible design projects. Simone C Niquille (@technoflesh ) is awarded for her transdisciplinary practice in Media & Interaction Design, critically examining how digital technologies shape bodies, spaces, and systems of power. Since 2007, the Swiss Grand Award for Design has recognized designers of major cultural significance; each award is endowed with CHF 40,000. The award ceremony will take place on 15 June 2026 in Basel as part of the Swiss Design Awards exhibition. On the occasion of the Swiss Grand Award for Design 2026 award ceremony, video portraits in the Swiss Design Awards exhibition and a publication will be released featuring brief portraits by @susanna_koeberle , interviews with the award winners by @keijiashizawa , Isabel Koellreuter & Franziska Schürch @schuerchundkoellreuter as well as @noraomurchu , and visual material on the award recipients. Customized Reseda Gothic — a glimpse into the making of the type specimen, developed by @role.std @ycoco___ @lea.romana and @free_bernie Rooted in Bell Gothic — a typeface originally designed for telephone directories and small point sizes — Reseda Gothic serves as the typographic foundation of Reseda’s soft redesign. The specimen not only celebrates the typeface itself, but also reflects on ten years of Reseda: its campaigns and visual language, while placing the type in dialogue with the formal qualities of the furniture. Girl boss vibes. Founded seven years ago by @lea.romana , @role.std set out to foster the visibility of women in graphic design. Looking back at this past year, we feel one step closer. Two powerhouse women, @ycoco___ and @mati_ravano , significantly shaped @role.std ’s projects during this time. @mati_ravano was part of the team until spring 2025 and continues to collaborate with ROLE on a project basis, while @ycoco___ will complete her internship in February 2026.
