Construyamos — puentes, no muros. Diseñemos — futuros, no miedos. Imaginemos — más allá de las fronteras. ———————————————————————- Receiving the Honorary Fellowship from the AIA is an honor I accept with deep gratitude as a Mexican. I’m convinced that this is not just a personal achievement, it’s a recognition of the work and creativity of millions of people, from diverse backgrounds, who have historically helped build the great cities of the United States. Migration has never been a threat to greatness; it has been its origin. I am fortunate to receive this award, which materializes the collective effort of all of us who, in one way or another, have contributed to this country. It is also a quiet act of resistance, a reminder that creativity, dignity, and value carry no passport. I accept this recognition on behalf of every person who has ever been told they don’t belong…… continues ⬇️

Some recognitions go beyond personal achievement; they represent the power of collective effort, shared visions, and the impact we create through our work. I am deeply honored to be elevated to the College of Fellows of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) as an Honorary Fellow (Hon. FAIA). This distinction is given to architects whose contributions to the profession and society have been recognized at a national level. To stand among this distinguished group is both humbling and inspiring. “Architecture for me is not just about buildings; it is about the hands that build them, the people who inhabit them, the lives they touch, and what they can give back to the community. ‘Our role as architects is to create environments that honor this interconnectedness, fostering inclusive, dynamic, and purpose-driven communities.’” This recognition from the AIA reinforces our belief that the work we do together matters. I look forward to continuing our collaboration and finding new ways to push boundaries, question conventions, and design with purpose. Thank you to the @aianational , the Jury of Honorary Fellows, and everyone who has been part of this amazing journey. This moment is not just mine—it belongs to all our collaborators over the years, and all who believe in the power of imagination, collaboration, and architecture as a force for change. #AIAHonoraryFellow #HonFAIA #ThePowerToImagine #Rojkind #Rojkindarquitectos #ArchitectureBeyondBuildings #Architecture #Design #Gratitude #MichelRojkind #TeamWork #Collaborations #Reciprocity

Repost from @breadandheartfestival • Bread & Heart Festival 2026: Landscapes of Abundance Following its inaugural edition, the Bread & Heart Festival returns to the Book Building at Skanderbeg Square, in the middle of Albania’s vibrant capital.  This year’s festival will turn its attention from isolated buildings to the vital spaces between them, the landscapes, and the broader ecological systems of Albania. We shift the perspective from portrait to landscape, or from singular objects and people to layered living systems. Organized as a day-long gathering of leading practitioners from the world of architecture and related disciplines, the public programme combines lively talks and conversations with a range of exhibitions, performances and Albanian hospitality. We are bringing together 300+ international teams and local practitioners, special guests from the arts, media and the environmental sector, who will gather on the festival grounds to explore how (landscape) architecture can balance the demand for new development with the need for environmental protection and conservation. Building on what is truly common - the ground and skies we share - the Festival celebrates the collective act of creating spaces where life can happen, grow, and protect itself. Join us for a memorable gathering of global and local architects, landscape architects, ecologists, and visionaries. We encourage you to bring along a guest of your choice, a new friend of and for Albania (hence, ‘bring some salt’). 🗓️ 3/4/5 June 2026 → 4 June Public Day 📍Book Building, Skanderbeg Square, Tirana 🎟️ Tickets available at breadandheartfestival.al (link in bio) The Festival is organized by the Bread & Heart Foundation in close collaboration with the Territorial Development Agency (AZHT) @azht.gov.al , the National Territorial Planning Agency (AKPT) @akpt_shqiperia2030 , and the NEWROPE Chair of Architecture and Urban Transformation at ETH Zürich @newrope.world @ethzurich #BreadAndHeart2026 #LandscapesOfAbundance #AlbaniaArchitecture #Tirana #Hospitality

Repost from @callaghanhoriuchi • In a city where nature is not just a backdrop but a culture, the Trailhead Welcome Center, designed in collaboration with @rojkindarquitectos , is a threshold — between inside and outside, between town and trail, and between visitors and the local riding community. It is a place to gather, learn, and explore. The roof lifts at its corners to create welcoming, light-filled gathering spaces below, while cyclists and pedestrians move across it to reach the trails. With that single gesture, the building reaches directly into the surrounding landscape — architecture that channels nature and brings people together. Explore our work at the link in bio. A forest of hexagonal columns dissolves the boundary between museum and street, giving public space back to the city, while the exposed concrete volume floats above a base that protects the exhibition halls.
