Also @born_skippy is hosting a DJ workshop too, where we've given 10 Mixing Mates records over to hand out to people who join in the workshop!

It's going to be a great day, filled with loads of joyous activities to get involved in and plenty of food (shout out to one of our favourite foodies @wholesomejunkies - go check the pop up tomorrow, delicious stuff) and some top beverages to keep everyone sustained for all the dancing at night 😊
After 35 years, I can finally say I’ve been to Indonesia and know that it won’t be my last! Amazing country and even better people with hopes to genuinely go back to my roots! Guess we will have to see! 🇮🇩♥️
Nite School favourite @roisindj steps in for the latest session in our refreshed weekly mix series.
Roisin has been a familiar presence across Nite School floors over the years, as well as a resident & key figure at the long-running local clubnight @mixingmatesmcr .
Her selections move easily across a broad spectrum of sounds, always anchored by an irresistibly fun & danceable core. This mix flows through piano house grooves, just the right touch of vocal moments, and ventures further into progressive territory, unfolding with a natural sense of lift and momentum.
Whether playing early or deep into the night, Roisin brings a sense of warmth and clarity to the room, shaping sets that feel both open and focused at the same time.
Recorded at Nite School’s ephemeral headquarters, All Nite Pawn. The dodgiest pawnbrokers in the Stretford Arndale, and briefly one of the strangest nightclubs in the UK before its scheduled demolition.

The second mix in Nite School’s ‘Prelude to the Last Dance’ mix series, designed to prepare Stretford for the last ever party in the Arndale on 20th September 2025, has been lovingly crafted by @roisindj .
A longtime resident for the @mixingmatesmcr crew and a very familiar face behind the decks across Manchester - Nite School parties in particular - including being one of the most regular DJs behind the counter at the Pawnbrokers.
Her style is pure motion: deep, groove-led house and sharp percussive cuts that slide effortlessly into disco and left-field techno. Whether it’s a late-night basement in the Northern Quarter or the underbelly of Stretford’s iconic mall, Roisin reads the room and keeps it locked.
On Saturday, Roisin joins her close @mixingmatesmcr compadre @weedot.87 for a back to back set to dial the pressure just right. Expect Roisin’s contribution to that combination to be built for movement—fluid, fearless and perfectly tuned for the Stretty Mall. This mix is a prelude to that.
