Had the chance to take the stage at NAB Show 2026 with Insta360 and give the world a first look at the brand new Insta360 Mic Pro.
What I loved most about this wasn’t just unveiling a new product. It was getting to talk about something I care a lot about as a creator: workflow, storytelling, and tools that actually support the way we work.
The Mic Pro feels like a thoughtful step forward for creators who want pro-level audio without adding more friction to the process. And seeing people experience it live for the first time at NAB was such a cool moment.

The normal camera workflow usually looks like this:
Shoot
Pull the microSD card
Insert a card reader
Transfer files
Then start editing.
This tiny SSD changes that.
Instead of recording to a microSD card, your camera records directly to the drive. When you’re done filming, you unplug it and plug it straight into your computer or phone and start editing.
No card reader.
No transfer step.
It is not perfect for every situation, but for creators focused on speed and workflow it is a really interesting option.
