What a day it's been! @robotsvsghosts came to meet me and and my awesome foster mom who took such good care of me, then we took an uber with a very chatty driver back to Ridgewood and I got to see my new home! We have been playing with my new toys nonstop since getting here and I'm already obsessed with my new feather wand, so much so that Amanda had to hide it in the closet when I started panting from excitement!
The night before their sold out Brooklyn show at Warsaw with Florry, Ratboys played an intimate late show at Night Club 101 on Wednesday night, where they worked in some deep cuts alongside songs off their fantastic new album 'Singing' To An Empty Chair.'

From the moment I held you in the palm of my hand at two days old; to when you scurried up my leg, flea-ridden, at eight weeks old, eager for me to take you home; to our final month-and-a-half of giving you subcutaneous fluids every day and watching you deteriorate; you were always the best guy and my best friend. I never would've made it through the past 16+ years without you. My heart is broken and I will miss you every single day, sweet boo.

Unlike last year I didn't have a definite favorite song or songs of the year but all of the ones listed here are contenders; I am also certain I left a bunch out as I did a really bad job of keeping track of my favorite songs this year. Those are in alphabetic order, shows are in chronological order, albums are ranked.

The 11th annual Ally Coalition Talent Show brought surprise guests like Hayley Williams, Florence Welch, Trey Anastasio, Kelsey Lu, and Samia to join Jack Antonoff and Bleachers NYU's Skirball Center to benefit The Ally Coalition, which supports equality for LGBTQ youth. Also appearing were Claud, Hank, Annie DiRusso, Andrew Dost, Rainey Qualley, Rachel Zegler, Chris Laker, Chris Fleming, Mike Birbiglia, and Jack Antonoff's mom, Shira Antonoff.
