Drain keep leveling up. @blacksamath wasn't the only one having fun at Irving Plaza last night
Haywire and No Pressure also both basically headliners on the insane touring bill

How do you say their name? + a look at Angine de Poitrine's rarely-seen merch guy & more!
Bill and Dave get M for Montreal's Mikey Rishwain to talk us through the French pronunciation of the polka-dotted French Canadian mathrock duo's name. Some of us needed more help than others.

Viral sensations Angine De Poitrine are instantly selling out big shows. Mikey Rishwain booked & saw them at M For Montreal in the fall, which is where big things started to happen. We brought him on the @BrooklynVegan Interviews podcast to talk about it.

NIN at Prudential Center, Valentine's Day 2026
One wasn't enough. Like many I know, after seeing one of the Brooklyn shows at Barclays in 2025, I headed to NJ to see Nine Inch Nails for a 2nd time on this run with Boys Noize on 2/14.
This video is of the part where they're doing the more traditional version of the band on the bigger main stage #nin
Nine Inch Nails brought their incredible tour with Boys Noise to the Prudential Center in Newark on Valentine's Day
After opening, Boys Noize joins Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to help bring some NIN classics into the future with remixed takes on a laser-filled 2nd stage in the middle of the arena
Going through my phone - Lucy Dacus actually played @brooklynvegan SXSW shows twice in three years. This one -- march 19, 2016 at noon inside, and then exactly two years later on the same day at the same venue, but that time headlining outside.
Lucy's future Boygenius bandmate Julien Baker also played this free 2016 BV day show at Cheer Ups, as did Japanese Breakfast, Big Thief, Protomartyr, Car Seat Headrest, Margo Price & more
