New Digitals - March 2026 âœŒđŸ» It’s amazing getting back into modeling after all these years. I loved my 15+ year career that took me from Toronto and NYC to Milan, Hong Kong, Osaka, Miami, and all over Europe and North America. Now I’m excited to explore the Latin American market with @runwaymodelscr ! Clients use “digitals” aka “Polaroids” (used to actually be Polaroids) to see what a model currently looks like. Your book (modeling portfolio) can be full of fantastical, stylized images, so digitals are a way to see you now, and see what you can do without the while crew. How’d I do? #model #runwaymodel #crfw #fashionweek #costarica

Today, Justin and I are celebrating our 15 year wedding anniversary! 💕 It’s so hard to pick just a few photos to show a window into our journey. We met when we were so young (22 and 27), and it was love at first sight. I saw him from across the room and knew I had to talk to him. And that was it for both of us, one conversation was the spark to a flame that has lasted for all these years. Justin is an incredible man, friend, partner, and Dad. He’s an example of what a good man is in this world. I feel extremely lucky, every day, that he’s my person and we found each other early on in life. We love to laugh, go on adventures, support each other’s dreams, and my goodness do we feel blessed to have Kaydin. We also have a lot of love and support from our families, and our friends. Today we are really counting our blessings. Cheers to 15 more years and beyond with the love of my life! #happyanniversarymylove #model #momlife

Happy Mother’s Day 💐 Sending love to all Mothers, for all that you do. I also send love to would-be mothers, who are reminded of their loss and grief at this time. I also send love to those who have lost their mothers, and the reminder is bitter sweet. I also send love to those who have a complicated relationship with their mothers. This holiday is very layered, and I hope however you celebrated, observed, or didn’t, that you have love, grace, and space for what comes up. This year, along with a lovely family celebration I learned that Mother’s Day in the US is rooted in pro-community and anti-war work. Did you see that too? Abolitionist and Women’s rights activist Julia Ward Howe wrote the “Mother’s Day Proclamation” in 1870. She wanted women to unify against war and bloodshed. Just before WWI in 1914 the US had its fist national Mother’s Day. Anna Jarvis proposed the holiday to honor her mother Ann Reeves Jarvis, who did extensive community work for families who had been affected by the civil war. They were against the commercialization of the holiday, instead wanting the focus to be global peace. In Costa Rica there is a saying: “Dichosa la madre costarricense que sabe que su hijo al nacer jamás será soldado.” “Blessed is the Costa Rican mother who knows that at birth her child will never be a soldier.” This Mother’s Day I’m feeling so many emotions. Gratitude for my son, and for our family. Appreciation of our lives in Costa Rica, woven with a thread of grief for the losses I’ve had here. Hope that greed and war will be thwarted. Worry for our world of sorrows. And determination to revel in joy. #happymothersday #mom #model #costarica

Behind the scenes with @henrybwoodofficial đŸ–€ Last weekend I was delighted to join Henry Wood for a @runwaymodelscr photoshoot showcasing Costa Rica’s talent. At the beautiful @altalaspalomashotel some of Runway’s New Faces showcased the talent of local designers. I was able to do some model coaching and be there as a friend and cheerleader. Stay tuned for my interview with Henry, where I share some insights from my experiences as an international model! Congratulations @reverso.cr @kittycore.cr @arianto.cr on your beautiful work. Hello, Friend! 💕 One of the most wonderful and delightful things in life is friendship. You just never know when it’s going to strike! I’m so grateful to be returning to the worlds of fashion, music, and art. The talented and creative people I’m meeting here in the San JosĂ© area of Costa Rica are just incredible. Here are a few shots from my day out with Leon when we visited Many Yu last weekend. 1. Selfie, obvi 2. I took the bus for the first time here, it was great! Easy. 3. Made some friends from out of town. 4. Having a #bossbabe moment 5. The incredible @manyu.arte + Fam + @ask.leon.99 đŸ«¶đŸŒ 6. Yay, friends! BTW if we haven’t talked about this my personality style in friendship is “golden retriever.” What’s yours? #sanjosĂ© #costarica #model #friends

What a treat to visit @manyu.arte ’s Atilier! Last weekend my friend @ask.leon.99 and I visited with Man Yu. We had the chance to view so many incredible pieces in person, it was inspiring! Man Yu generously shared stories about her art, life, and philosophy. I was so excited to learn more. When I closed the show for Man Yu during #crfw I knew it was going to be special. Her presentation, Closet Humano, created in collaboration with talented students from INA, was something to behold. It was a moment during fashion week that felt electric. Her show opened with an incredible performance art piece by her son. Watching on the monitor backstage I was in awe of the tension and emotion as he writhed and struggled with heavy, black fabric on the runway. Then the show began. Pieces that played with proportion, pieces that hid certain body parts from view (hands, faces), some pieces that felt quiet and restrained, some pieces that felt loud and like a bird breaking out of a cage. It was an amazing show. When I stepped out on the runway in the final look I was completely lost in the moment she created. The audience erupted when we walked the runway during the final carousel together. Man Yu brought fine art to Costa Rica fashion week, and it was a highlight for anyone who witnessed it. Seeing her paintings and sculptures in person was an amazing experience. If you are looking for a unique piece of art, her work is spectacular. Follow @manyu.arte to learn more about her work and her next projects. She continues to push and explore, revealing parts of ourselves through art that we don’t have words for. Man Yu, thank you for showing us your world! #artist #model #costarica #artmatters

Behind the scenes with @lalo_clothing_cr ❀ Last August I came out of retirement and went to my first runway casting in over a decade. When I met Lalo she radiated warmth, creativity, and integrity. I got the show and was thrilled to be part of the Alma presentation. I will never forget how, after the show, amidst all of her excitement and success, Lalo held my hands, looked me in the eyes and said “welcome back.” Something cracked open in me then. A part of myself that I thought I left behind, a part that felt lost, was found. I love this work, especially when I have the honor of working with such great people! Lalo is an incredible sustainable and ethical designer. She transforms old pieces into new, exciting, and vibrant garments. If you have an item of clothing that has a story, meaning, or significance in your life, but it doesn’t fit or it needs repair, let Lalo work her magic for you. Her latest collection includes shirts made from skirts, feminine halter tops made from men’s button ups, upcycled denim with lace and so much more. She advocates for embracing age (a message close to my heart!), shopping sustainably, and enjoying the playfulness that fashion can offer. Thank you, Lalo, for what you put in the world! I’m glad to know you as a designer and friend. Follow @lalo_clothing_cr to learn more about her work, and get inspired by her wonderful messages of empowerment. #sustainablefashion #model #costarica

Waterfall Refresh 💩 Last weekend we took Lunita🐕💕 to our favorite waterfall spot. We used compressed clay river stones to do mud masks, and swam in the gloriously cold water. Lunita is getting more comfortable being in water which has been so fun! We finished the afternoon the same way we always do: with a river clean-up. Whether we are at the beach, waterfalls or on a hike, when we are on our way out we grab as much garbage as we can carry to help keep our little pieces of nature clean. When we all do a little, it can mean a lot. #model #sustainability #rivercleanup #costarica
