Published by St. Martin’s Press in the U.S., and Penguin Michael Joseph in the UK — and not a moment too soon, because I have been living and breathing with these characters for a while now, and can’t wait to share them with the rest of you!

It’s been 10 years since I finished writing this book and every so often I’ll randomly come across a song from my original playlist and it takes me right back to that time, and I’m in my living room overlooking the Pacific — in a house that no longer exists because it burned in the fires — and in my head I’m having a torrid affair with a posh British boy, who also doesn’t exist, but is somehow inexplicably one of the great loves of my life. And it feels like just yesterday, but also another lifetime.

And that’s a wrap on a whirlwind 52 hour trip to NYC for the fabulous @bookcon !! I came, I talked, I signed books… I got together with old author friends and met new ones whom I’ve admired from afar for years!! I partook in an awesome panel on book-to-screen adaptations with @andyweirofficial@emilystjohnmandel and @may_cobb , moderated by the brilliant @jasonblitman . I chatted with some wonderful journalists. And at the end of it all I drank in the sunset and the perfect dirty martini, surrounded by a room of inspiring women, thanks to @justjuliawhelan and @brisacarleton . Huge thank you to my stellar team at @stmartinspress and @lenaklittle for making this weekend possible. And Bookcon, of course! Now, back to Paris…

Robinne is the internationally bestselling author of The Idea of You, which has been translated into two dozen languages and was adapted into an Amazon Studios film starring Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine, which became Amazon MGM’s number-one romantic comedy debut of all time. Her second novel, Crash into Me, will be released in July of 2026. She performed the audio versions for both of her novels. A graduate of Yale University and Columbia Law School, Lee is also an actress and producer with numerous credits in both television and film, most notably in Hitch, Seven Pounds, Hotel for Dogs, 13 Going on 30, Being Mary Jane, and the Fifty Shades franchise.
