For the first time in a long time, I am delighted to offer a short 3 week series on the marimba for adults of all levels in April. If you’ve always been curious to explore this beautiful instrument now is your chance. We will develop parts and songs each week and experience the joy of playing in a marimba band. Space is limited to 8 participants. Please send me a DM for more info and registration info.

NEW SHOW ALERT!
Midnight Boogaloo is influenced by the New York sound of the 60s and 70s and is a high energy act that will move you physically and emotionally. The repertoire is a mix of original and traditional music from Latin America including styles like Cumbia, Salsa and Boogaloo, with a Rock & Roll aesthetic. They'll be performing at VIFF Centre on March 29, along with a screening of one of the great Mexican films of the 1940's, Salon Mexico.

We rarely play in Vancouver (like once or or twice a year!) so this is your chance.
What else you gonna do for a few hours on a Thursday night that ends half early?
A STELLAR group of musicians playing mostly my own compositions, rich in rhythm and improvisation with a heavy emphasis on South Asian and West African influences filtered my own nervous system and experiences of decades of engagement with music from there and beyond. Where else will you hear a master Afro-Cuban percussionist (@totoberriel2023 ) trade bars with a virtuosic Indian vocalist @shrutiramanimusic )?
