I never seen myself on an E-Bike. I tried and tested a few in the past but never had an excited ride. Most of them felt clunky, were loud and felt like they would fall apart when ridden hard. But times change and the progress in the E-MTB field made me more and more curious. After a 3 months down time due to injury I was desperate to set out for a road-trip and be creative on the bike and behind the lens. So why not take the opportunity to leave old narrow mindsets at home and set out with a fresh view and no expectations other than ride and create. I didn’t even know where to go but heading south was the only option to escape the winter vibes at home. Through Austria, Italy into France
wherever I saw some snow free hills I checked in Trailforks for trails and gave it a try. One week off grid, I ended up in Digne-Les-Bains with its black earth trails all around. Thanks to the Patrons power and range I had no issues to get around on multiple trails all packed with my heavy photo- and filming equipment. I found one of the most fascinating trails I’ve ever ridden and made it my playground to film and photograph myself all alone while trying not to fall off the narrow ridgeline
And just like that the Scott Patron changed the way I see and experience mountainbikkng after 25 years in the sport
crazy how much more possibilities that bike offers me to explore more new and exciting terrain. Not only that - the bike is fast and capable more than I ever expected it to be. It blows my mind how good that bike is and truly silenced my doubtful thoughts I had. This solo mission marks the first episode of many to come. Watch the film in 4K on my YouTube. After 10 years of my absence in Koblenz I came to visit my old friends and colleagues @canyon yesterday for lunch and some good talks. It brought back some good memories of my time as their mtb athlete from 2008 to 2016. It’s been a wild ride, traveling the world, spreading good vibes, inspiring and doing epic shit together. I am proud I had the chance to be part of the Canyon family in such a pivotal time when Canyon became this international recognized brand. Thanks for the smiles, the warm welcome and good memories we shared yesterday. Here some shots from the past

Another great partnership comes to an end in these crazy times. I have been absolutely privileged to represent @ixsmtb as an athlete for the past 5 years. Its been a pleasure to work with such a good brand and push product and brand-awareness forward together. Going through all the pictures from these years makes me wonder if such good times traveling the world, riding and producing epic shit is ever coming back since this industry is in such heavy turmoil. Not only that - from tomorrow on I’m on no brands paycheck anymore in this bike business for the first time since 2001. That’s a huge task to solve for me and my family moving forward. I know that i have so much more to give in this bike world, so much knowledge and expertise that can be used productively to push brands forward. Leaving this industry completely would feel really wrong - but who knows what happens next.

This year, my Youth Camp enters its 28th year. Founded in 1998 by Bike Magazine, I joined that very first camp as a 16-year-old kid—riding a hardtail, carrying a big dream, and determined to build a future in the bike industry. That camp became a turning point in my life. It helped me sharpen my riding skills, but more importantly, it connected me with pros from the scene and showed me what was possible. Not long after, I became a coach. Step by step, I took on more responsibility—helping, organizing, and shaping the camp. Growing up in an orphanage gave me a strong sense for youth group dynamics. I understood how kids test boundaries, what can escalate into difficult situations, and how important it is to lead by example. If you’re not a role model they respect, it’s almost impossible to truly reach them. Mountain biking—especially downhill, enduro, and park riding—is a high-risk sport with real consequences. You have to stay focused, present, and aware at all times. Decisions are made in split seconds. On day one, I always tell the kids: We can teach you the skills and show you the lines—but the riding itself is up to you. Looking ahead, braking, turning the bars—no one can do that for you. There’s no one else to blame if things go wrong. And that’s exactly why I believe this sport is so powerful. It builds responsibility, focus, and resilience. It shapes strong young people—on the bike and far beyond it. Registration open now for our 2026 camp @premiumbikecamps

As this year comes to a close, my partnership with Scott comes to an end as well. I entered the Scott world to help re-launch their in-house brand BOLD, giving this small but incredibly innovative brand a fresh look, a stronger voice, and a more progressive standing—placing it among the finest products in the All-Mountain and Enduro category. Being a brand ambassador was only the visible part of my work. Behind the scenes, I poured my energy into brand building, marketing, and communication—and during this time, I also significantly expanded my work as a photographer and film content creator, crafting visuals and stories that captured the spirit of the brand. Together, we made a strong presence at events and festivals, got countless people on bikes, and created unforgettable moments and big smiles. That’s what brand building, excitement, and stoke are all about—and anyone who knows me knows that whatever I do, I give it 100% out of passion. When Scott announced last year that BOLD was “on hold,” it was a big shock and definitely a frustrating and sad moment. Still, I was excited to continue working with Scott and apply my skills within the larger Scott family for the remaining year of my contract. Now, after three incredible years with both brands, I’ve made the decision to move forward as a free agent. I’m choosing not to pursue a new deal or extension with Scott because I want to help brands grow through brand building, marketing, product development and content creation—not just represent them as an ambassador. What the future brings is still unknown—but sometimes you need to take the leap, turn around, and make the move before you can take the next step forward. THANK YOU, SCOTT. @bikeonscott & @scottsportsdach It’s been an unforgettable ride.

This Trans Cascadia personnel is helluva good crew of people. What a sick week of riding, racing, exploring and good times they put together for us racers is mind blowing. All the hiking, pushing and suffering to get to those stages was all worth it once you surf through these insane trails at race speed never knowing what’s behind the next corner. Blind Mountainbike racing at its finest. Those are the moments we live for. Even tho I had a hard time breathing and pushing with my flu, I stayed on course and made it through the week in one piece. Stoked for my bud @gregalff who killed it and finished 4th in pro Men and made sure I wouldn’t skip a day. Now on our way back home with a ton of new memories. Thanks @transcascadia for all the hard work you have done for us all.
