10 YEARS of Robert Mark Dance What started as a dream a decade ago has grown into 10 years of creating, sharing, and building community through dance. From small studios to festival stages, from intimate collaborations to large-scale works — every step has been possible because of YOU: our dancers, collaborators, and supporters.To celebrate this milestone, we’re bringing back Dawned — reimagined for the Spark Theater Festival on Sept 12 at 7PM in NYC. MEET THE DANCERS: Jared McAboyJared McAboy, originally from Kent, Washington, holds a BFA in Dance from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Since moving to New York in 2013, he has danced professionally for Jennifer Muller/The Works and 10 Hairy Legs, and performed works by José Limón, Larry Keigwin, Megan Williams, Yin Yue, and Chase Brock, among many others. Alongside his performance work with Robert Mark Dance, Jared teaches dance across the Tri-State Area, sharing his expertise in a variety of styles.Jared has been a collaborator of RMD since 2016! MEET THE DANCERS: Sarah HillmonSarah Hillmon is a native of Rochester, NY. There, she trained with Garth Fagan, Timothy M. Draper, and the Rochester City Ballet. She graduated with a BFA in Dance from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where she had the privilege of performing works by talented artists including Sidra Bell, Lucinda Childs, Gus Solomons Jr, and Charles Weidman. While in New York, Sarah has worked with artists such as Solange Knowles, and has danced for Lucinda Childs Dance Company, Mark Morris Dance Group, Robert Mark Dance, Suzanne Beahrs Dance, BodyStories, Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company and DanceBoissiere. @dancelabny BCI Kicked off the summer at Dance Lab NY’s Broadway Choreographer Intensive under the mentorship of Josh Prince. Myself and 5 other fabulous choreographers created and talked about making dances for Musical Theater and the commercial Space. Many thanks to Josh, @worldwidewilliam + @tuanmalinowski + @galvalsal + @joann_m_hunter for the guidance throughout the week! @ciscograciano

She earned a BA in History from Whittier College before returning to Hawaii to become a dance educator. Since moving to NYC in 2012 she has been a company member with BARE Dance Company, and working as a freelance artist with several other companies including Robert Mark Dance, Dalit Ahava & Dancers, Shawn Bible Dance Co., Bom Diggs, The Wolfe Project, Metaphors & Similes, and TREES collective.Erin has been a collaborator with RMD since 2023!
