Completed another hat for client/friend who requested a design that incorporated the progressive pride flag colours! In all honesty, this hat was a challenge for me but a good opportunity to hone my skills in as a beader. I must have redone it 3-4 times just to get it right lol there are 12 colours, symmetrical pattern, and vertical/horizontal design patterns along the rim of the hat! It’s a beauty and one of a kind 🥰🤗 thank you to @mihko_kihew for supporting my beadwork, kinanaskomitin.

So excited to share with y’all what I made!! My grandma BeBe, Perpetue Montgrand, would be so proud. I feel like she helped me along to make these!
A big thank you to Felice Gladue and @metisalive and to elder Joyce Beaver for offering this wrap-around moccasin class! 🙏🏽❤️ I’m so happy!!
I chose to do floral beadwork to commemorate my Dene roots and red for my Cree name. Kinanaskomitin mistahi 🥺🥰❤️

A huge thank you to my cous Kerry for putting on this incredible wellness event ❤️ and to all the helpers, cooks, and main organizers of Dillon SK. As well as to our other speakers, Willis Janvier and Blaine Constant, and numerous community members for sharing your stories and strength. Merci Cho, ay-ay 🙏🏽 I’m so proud to come from a community like ours ❤️
Lastly, I’m just thankful to share my story, talk about recovery, and honour my late mom Joyce Montgrand with a Dene song in the end 💕 it was a weekend to remember. This is how we heal and make a life worth living.
Excited to officially announce that I will be leading the Youth Presentation at SILR this year on April 28th ❤️
Last year, I had the honor of speaking for the Polyglot Magazine Winter launch, as well as being published in the magazine, and speaking at the SILR conference on a panel with one of my Cree mentors Rueben Quinn 🙂
So grateful to be a main speaker this year as a young Indigenous Cree Language Teacher and advocate 🙏🏽 Anyone that knows me, knows how passionate I am for teaching our language, our history, and sharing my culture. Excited to share what I’ve done so far and continue to inspire my students to speak Cree - keyâpic nehiyawetân oskâyak ❤️
