Been a wicked time at Blue Pool the past 3 nights, being last in the swim draw I simply couldn’t get on the fish until I was able to make a move for the last 24hours, about half an hour after bushwhacking a rig right in close where I had seen them it all came good with this big paddled brute being a new PB being 34lb on the money!
Was well nice to get out with some mates again and have a good ol laugh, fish, good food and beer can’t beat it!

The first and biggest fish of blue pool at 28lb 8oz. Lost one an hour previously and being a small margin spot, I was rather surprised how quickly they returned.
Size doesn’t matter when they’re like this, proper big old paddle!

The absolute icing of the cake from the weekend @seymour_fishery being the Tiger Fish at 20lb 8oz. I remember seeing photos of this fish a couple years ago and thinking how I’d love to catch it, I never expected it to happen but it did. Easily the best looking carp in my album
Me and @cerney_slayerrrr have been tackling this water as a team, without him I doubt I’d have caught.
I’m still on cloud 9!

Getting in the waders and bushwhacking the rig right under a tree in the margin snagged this one.
Once I had the rig in position they seemed to push off and what I thought could be a quick bite ended up with me scratching my head for a couple of hours and checking other margins of the lake, however they did return and I was rewarded with this lovely mid 20
Lovely couple of nights at Blue Pool earlier in the week with some mates! This one being the biggest of 3 for me at just over 30lb.
After hearing them like busses on the first night it was game on and managed to find a spot right next to the shows the next day which produced this one the following morning
This lovely common was the first of 4 what I had out of @seymour_fishery last weekend, only had the rod fishing for no more than 3hrs and after they kept coming back to that spot
Had a lovely day on the Wye Boxing Day after the Barbel landing 2 upto 8lb. This one being the smallest at 7lb 8oz, caught in a crease right by the margin
Probably my final carp I’ll catch this year! This one nailed on some good ol’ sweetcorn on a small spot by some pads. Was on cloud 9 when I looked in the net to see it was this one, one of the ones I had on my target list from @seymour_fishery
Doesn’t get much better than that, nice to be having some of the better ones out!
Went out to the Wye yesterday and managed to bag this Barbel around the 6lb mark, nothing massive but the first barbel I’ve had in a couple years and can definitely see myself doing some more of this fishing. Hopefully we’ll have a few more this winter inbetween some carp fishing!
A lovely low twenty from @seymour_fishery and a rare one so I’m told from Sunday morning, hopefully the start of a productive winter
