Pianist/composer Reed Bodenstein presents the debut performance of ENTRIES, a new suite for jazz quintet. “Entries” is an exploration of seasonality and periods of transition told through a series of musical journal entries. The principle of patience is central to this piece, which was deliberately written over one full year, yet in the hands of some of Philly’s most coolly daring jazz voices (Elliot Bild - trumpet, Ravi Seenarine - tenor sax, Jake Kaplan - bass, Gusten Rudolph - drums), this performance is sure to be suffused with spontaneity.
