One of the coolest projects I’ve gotten to work on in a long time. More to come soon. This giraffe’s name was Puzzles. He is one of the only giraffes in the world that will interact with people in a manner that would’ve allowed something like this shoot. Unlike most other giraffes, even those raised in captivity, he is open to be touched and interacted with. He was raised alongside llamas which made him much less jumpy and much more open to being touched. A huge thanks to Joe Gaverick at the Indian Creek Zoo and Gina Galvas for the always thinking of me. In memory of a cherished friend. Your warmth, generosity, and spirit touched so many lives, including mine. Rest in peace, Alan Tracy. You will be deeply missed. Alan passed peacefully on June 1st. This is a heartbreaking loss for so many in the RISD and Providence community, where he was an integral figure. His contributions were invaluable, and his presence irreplaceable. Alan played a crucial role in my journey after RISD, especially through our work with @risdcareers , where he helped organize a Headshot Day every year for graduating students. Over almost a decade of collaboration, Alan became a treasured friend. Just this past fall, he joined @gabsulator_tsd and me to carve pumpkins with his daughter Rose, creating memories I will forever cherish. I bumped into Alan more often than almost anyone around town in Providence. He was always easy to spot with his iconic long curly hair. Rest in peace Alan, you will be deeply missed. More @firstaidbeauty content! First in person one after the pandemic. This was my first one working with the brilliant @tarah_sutton after she started at FAB. No one puts together a creative deck quite as well as Tarah does. @jennaca527 and I spent several weeks running what was essentially a school science project, testing ways of how to manufacture dark spots on bananas for this shoot. We matched brand colors with custom painted backgrounds and surfaces. Launch campaign for children’s educational robotics company @littlebits . Shot in the most beautiful Grammarcy Park apartment scouted for us by @littleniak This one was a lot of fun. I don’t work with kids too often, so this was super heart warming and special. One of the models; Aiden, drove with father all the way from Tennessee for this shoot in Brooklyn. I recall this was around the time that the dance move “flossing” was trending, it came up during some down time during our studio day, and all three of the kids simultaneously broke into a perfect floss. This can be glimpsed on the BTS video shot by our wonderful gaffer @rileyalicia . You can also witness how much these three liked messing with me 😹 I also recall having the stupidest argument with my dear friend @rileyalicia and I had with each on the street during load out at the end of three long days. We had differing opinions on where the beauty dish needed to be in the car for everything to fit properly. This shoot with @usehuron was a really special one for me for a multitude of reasons. Chief among them is that @usehuron is one of my favorite long time clients. Watching their brand and business grow over the years has been magical to say the least. Hats off to @matt.mullenax and @matt.teri on building something that I’m so proud to be apart of. Second, this was a functioning shower set build, and the first set build @gabsulator_tsd and I worked on at the beginning of our romance in April 2023. It really brought us a lot closer together and showed us that we could also work together. Third, I just have to thank @akeezy_ubeezy and @aok.studio for establishing such a strong brand at the onset with @usehuron .
