What a film! What a joy to host the Australian premiere of BEAST last night. Extraordinary performance by Daniel Macpherson. Tyler Atkins has made a beautiful film in a violent world. And great work from all the cast, Luke Hemsworth Amy Shark, Matt Nable and Russell Crowe all shine. And a shout out to our Australian crews… creating something truly international on an Australian budget. John and Michael Schwarz once again produce a great film! Bravo!
Melbourne!! We’re on! First week tickets are flying. Easter week still some left. Come and see this award winning, 5 ⭐️ show! Loads of laughs, and a sweet antidote to the mindless manosphere dialogue that seems to be in the zeitgeist! Cheap tix for 25’s and under. Tix in my bio!
Logie-winning The White Lotus actor Rob Carlton returns with a new dramatic comedy: VIRGIN IN A KNIFE FIGHT.
“My show is about the different surprises we get at different times of life. When we’re young it’s the world coming at us that can freak us out. I was 18 years old hitchhiking around Europe when a man came at me with a knife! A few years later it was me that surprised me – with my own bad behaviour. A few years after that a mate went to court and pulled off a heist we still can’t believe. And when I was 50 the shock came from loved ones, the fear came from within and it reminded me how strange and wiggly and wonderful life can be.
VIRGIN IN A KNIFE FIGHT is four true stories with four different moments of reckoning. It’s packed with laughs but gets into the messy stuff that surprises us, making life rich. Once again, it’s just me and a black chair.”
“Carlton is a born, extremely gifted and consummate storyteller! He has a power and magic about him that magnetises!”
