Sasha in Manly… didn’t see that coming! Pretty special to be playing in my own backyard and still getting the call up all these years on.

To wrap up our series @jamrecordbar we have a true legend of the game, one of Sydney’s most trusted selectors and often labelled as “the nicest guy in Australian dance music” @robbielowerider A true vibe master, Robbie Lowe’s love for playing timeless records remains as strong as the day he first jumped on the turntables at a house party back in 1993. Moving a dance floor comes naturally for Robbie and has seen him endure as one of the country’s most respected and in demand DJs. A rising star throughout the early 2000s at iconic Sydney parties like Sweetchilli and Sounds on Sunday, Robbie’s technical ability, flawless programming and down-to-earth personality secured him as both a crowd favourite and safe pair of hands for promoters. Influenced by the ‘90s progressive house scene, his sound is layered and versatile, effortlessly manoeuvring through genres, underpinned by that unmistakable ‘Robbie touch’. From his legendary early morning Spice Cellar sets and ‘all night long’ sets at Civic Underground and S.A.S.H, to rocking the Electric Gardens Festival main stage after Armand Van Helden, Robbie has achieved a lot. He has warmed up floors for some the biggest names in the business and in 2019 was personally selected by Sasha and John Digweed as warm up DJ for their first Australian shows together in 13 years. Across the seas, he has played and toured regularly in the USA, UK, China, Indonesia and Fiji. A deft hand in the studio, Robbie’s productions with long-time collaborator Matt Rowan continues to turn heads. 2021’s ‘Say Yes’ was a dance floor favourite, and the duo’s latest release, the ‘Sunkissed EP’, saw success on the ARIA Club charts. In the mix series realm, Robbie has contributed to the esteemed Balance podcast, John Digweed’s Transitions radio show and released a compilation on the revered Ministry of Sound label. A master of groove, warm melodies and infectious energy, Robbie delivers a style and versatility that is unmatched. You can tell by the perpetual smile planted across his face – he’s just a guy that loves to play music!

Special one tomorrow night, I’ll be joining @pflext2025 & @robbielowerider celebrating Paul’s 50yrs of DJing night at my second home @tatlersydney ! For those of u who aren’t familiar with Paul, he was one of the early pioneers of the Sydney Scene and doesn’t play a lot these days. Behind the decks he’s one of those dj’s you really need to see at least once and I can guarantee he’ll leave you pretty damn mesmerised. They truly don’t make them like they used to. The 3 of us will be playing 2 different sets so lots on offer to froth on. I’ll be playing after Paul both sets with my best mate RL to follow me and close out the club for his second set. Pip and I also just got some positive health news about our son Taskian today so we are ready for a celebration! 🎉 Really hoping to see some familiar faces on the dance floor.
