Got to meet & chat with one of my filmmaking heroes and finally thank him for not only providing great cinema, SHAUN OF THE DEAD, SCOTT PILGRIM & BABY DRIVER (to name a few), but plenty of laughs when my mum and I needed them the most with “Hot Fuzz Sundays” - especially when she wasn’t well and in and out of hospital… thank you also for over hearing my stressful phone call at the BFI about the struggle of trying to get Punching Bag financed and you simply said “it’s gonna be okay”…and you were right - absolute legend, thank you again 🙏🏾👊🏽
2025 - The year of survival…literally “One Battle After Another”…similar battles as well as some fresh opponents…but, some fun moments a long the way. The first year of festivals with Punching Bag, the variety of projects, witnessing Oasis return and I got to meet some wonderful people, as well as a few filmmaking legends.
Ultimately, the investment in myself has paid off. More importantly, my craft still allows me to communicate and continues to bring me joy. Let’s stay on that path…Forward. Always forward 🫡👊🏽
