As a huge fan of the legendary @scottlava 's #TheGreatShowdowns it brings me endless of joy to have another of my films immortalised by him.
He just posted his @runningmanmovie illustration showing Ben Richards and Elton Parrakis vs The Goons (along with McCone and Frank). I adore this one along with the previous seven, and am a proud owner of the prints too.
It's not a huge exaggeration to say that I’ll try to keep making movies just so I can get more of Scott's fabulous art.

Here’s a remastered version of my 2002 music video for ‘Blue Song’ by Mint Royale. This was my dry run for the opening scene of Baby Driver, which I eventually made 15 years later. This version stars the crazy crew of my friends @noel_fielding , @friedgold , Michael Smiley and Julian Barratt. Such a hoot making this one, again with choreography from the great @litzabixler and editing by longtime collaborator @davidwebb_editor .
I first had the germ of the idea for the later film while listening to Jon Spencer Blues Explosion’s ‘Bellbottoms’ back in 1994. Of course, way back then I couldn’t conceive of how I might mount a big car-chase thriller, so the concept just stewed in my head. When I was lost for an idea for this video, I reluctantly used my ‘Baby Driver’ concept and initially thought I’d burned it on the promo. But, as it turned out, this clip became a great proof of concept for the film when I was trying to get it made.
Eagle-eyed viewers will spot that it even makes a brief appearance in the 2017 film, when Baby is channel-hopping.
What an absolute breeze this was: great crew, great cast and, yes, a real pigeon that we hired. One of the best actors I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.
Saw @curry.barker 's @obsessionthemovie which is a total nerve jangling ride of a debut. A slow burn opening accelerates into freefalling madness and never stops. Funny, shocking, surreal, sometimes terribly sad and always unnerving. Everyone in it is great, but special props to an amazing performance by @indenavarrette that just burns up the screen. Gasps, laughs, squirms. Prepare thyself.

Here's another music video of mine and an earlier all-in-one take effort, 2002's 'After Hours' by The Bluetones, remastered by my director of photography, the great @jakepolonsky .
When I heard this track, it reminded me of the songwriting of the much adored genius @paulielama2 , and I decided we should do the video as a full-on salute to 1976's kids' classic Bugsy Malone. This was all shot in one take at the famous Rivoli Ballroom in South London and choreographed by the amazing @litzabixler . I remember that we only had the kids (all from Sylvia Young) until 6 p.m. sharp, so I think we did eight takes in total, and this is one of the final ones—perhaps the last.
All the kids were aces (if you were in it, please chime). I especially love the badass slide into frame at the 2:17 mark that our faux Bugsy pulls off.
Making this video the year before shooting 'Shaun of the Dead' allowed me more confidence in the ambitious steadicam take in that film where Simon Pegg walks to the corner shop and back.

Had such a fun time seeing last night's recording of @snluk at what I will always call BBC TV Centre (now Studioworks).
The episode hosted by @hannah_waddingham last night was such a blast to see come together and with a perfect amount of live television anarchy and mischief last night. Lovely to see so many people I've been fans of working on the show, not least @abcelya (who hooked us up with tickets), but also @humphreyker , @thisisjonno , @longers1 , @maxandivan and more.
The cast are all aces, and am proud to have worked with two of them in my films, @emmafrancescasidi in 'The Running Man' and @celestedring in 'Last Night In Soho'. Huge props also to @fowerairkers , @jack_shep , @annabel_marlow_ , @paddyisyoung , @aniamagliano , @hammedhamz , @alnashcomedy@ayoadezahrah and @larrydeancomedy .
Plus one @peterserafinowicz was a special guest last night too. Great to see him kill in the cold open.
If I had any quibble, please @skytv put the sketches on YouTube the next day so the best bits can go viral.That said, congrats to the team making this show it's own thing and here's to an even better second season.

It was an extraordinary night at the Rosewood Hotel in London for the @britishfilminstitute as we honored the great @gdtreal with a Fellowship award for his contribution to cinema.
It's a particularly a great award for Guillermo as he truly understands and supports the urgent and ongoing needs of film archivism and film restoration. Could not have a better champion for this cause.
The huge turnout of friends and colleagues in the film industry to see Guillermo get this award speaks to how beloved he is. I have been lucky enough to call him a friend since we met in the basement of the now-defunct Cinema Store on Upper St Martin's Lane many moons ago. I've seen him have ups and downs, and also go from strength to strength, inspiring all around him; not least having a front row seat when I was on the jury for the Venice Film Festival when he won the Golden Lion for 'The Shape Of Water'.
He makes fans of us of all and his love for the movies is reflected back through his work one hundred fold. Here's to you Guillermo! @gdtreal@britishfilminstitute

TCM Festival post 2! Had so much fun reuniting with my hero (and Baby Driver star) @paulielama2 at his TCM career talk and introduction to the much underrated 'Ishtar'. Paul's intro was fantastic and afterwards in the bathroom I heard an audience member whistling 'Dangerous Business' while washing their hands. So you can't say the songs aren't ear-worms!
Also loved introducing Richard C Sarafian's 'Vanishing Point' at midnight with @bbunny1940 .
@tcmfilmfest such a great weekend in Hollywood for movie fans. If you've never been, I highly recommend.
