In early 2024, David Bellingham and I produced Wobble Wobble Wobble by the Wobble Ensemble on a wobbly (flexi) disc. We had a few grand plans for a performance to promote the release which never came to fruition, and it’s been on the shelf since. Shortly afterwards, Rob Churm curated the amazing Look Out! comic and we agreed that if he did another, we would include the flexi. Delighted to say that this is now happening… WRONG, a new comic by Rob featuring loads of great artists (and a complimentary wobbly disc), is out on June 6th. There is a launch party at the Old Hairdresser’s with live performances from Edwin R Stevens, AGOG and the Wobble Ensemble. Free entry! (Wobble Wobble Wobble, EHW003, was recorded and performed by David Bellingham & Raydale Dower and includes a signed letterpress print by David). @davidbellingham_ @rob_churm @theoldhairdressers @hotcheddar

Really excited for the show tonight with @pooledotcenter playing music that uses some beautify carve stone sculptures and modulated sounds of the mountain! Fri 8th May Poole is playing with @ccccompetition "there’s an internal logic to the bored fire that in different moments references Nina Simone, the 1969 film Medium Cool and passages from Don Delillo’s JFK novel. outwardly Competition channels something of Loren Connors or the collaborations of claire rousay & more eaze. the bored fire operates as a guitar album, one that sees him reflect on feeling for years that playing guitar was deeply embarrassing, accepting that the world keeps spinning and time, as ever, renders all things eternally untethered. the field recording that underpins the album was recorded in Newcastle’s now forgotten Monument Mall in 2011 by artist and expert archivist ex tynam. it holds together alongside a feeling that shapes the album, of a realisation that comes after the fact, of an end that was overlooked but is increasingly felt now. (reluctantly hauntological in 2026)" and FREE MAGIC SHOW... Joe Coghill and Michał Fundowicz bring an inprovised magic show with sound FX... their excellent edindurgh tape labels: Molt Fluid and czaszka (rec.) "think somewhere between GRM and Siltbreeze"

Wed 24th June NUKE WATCH, WORMHOOK, 12th ISLE DJS... on sale now! 👽 Nuke Watch is a New York based collective that specializes in a blend of free-jazz fusion and textured polyrhythmic Fourth World propulsion. The long running friendship and psychic connection of its founders Chris Hontos & Aaron Anderson (aka Beat Detectives) enhance their signature ritualistic rhythms, mutant modular synthesis, nimble keyboard runs, vibrantsampling and unidentified skronk. “The duo of Aaron Anderson & Chris Hontos sustain a remarkable run of releases since 2020 that has run rings around the DIY underground imagination, variously proving their mettle in live and studio settings, and neatly distilling the psychedelia of previous, cult project Beat Detectives in fluidly groove-driven modes that effortlessly enchant heads and snag hips.“ - Boomkat, 2024. They have released records on The Trilogy Tapes, Post Present Medium, Patience/Impatience, Commend/RVNG and Moon Glyph. Nuke Watch's new LP "Fusion" will be released this June on @sagome.sagome “This was a good one...NUKE WATCH LP from Impatience” Eye (Boredoms), 2024. “Frazzled synth virtuosity, textured sampledelia and mulched electronics take porous influence from all corners, from gamelan to Raï, Saharan strings, and Japanese classical court music, but lysergically morphed into a properly absorbing, if elusive, sort of instrumental storytelling” - Boomkat, 2022. Wormhook is mostly an improvisatory, channeled project, mostly dictaphone + phone recordings of vocalised first takes, devotionals, Prayers laments and social/spiritual commentary. where sparse and repetitive features of the everyday sonic background to austerity Britain smash together with naive instrumentation throwing up a non linear array of semi coherent multitudes. 12th Isle co-founder Fergus Clark will be DJ-ing between the live acts, he runs a monthly NTS session NTS session through chaotic record shelves, tascam nightmares, label related tracks & unreleased music.

Saturday 13th June... DANNY KAMINS, EROSION CONTROL, KIT BULA.... avant garde experimental music 🦋🍀 tix on sale now. Danny Kamins is an improvising saxophonist/bass clarinetist based out of Houston, TX, specializing in jazz and avant garde music. He also runs the jazz program at Rice University. Musicians he has performed/recorded with include Alexander Von Schlippenbach, Vinny Golia, Jeb Bishop, Sandy Ewen, Paulina Owczarek, Motoko Honda, Damon Smith, Luke Stewart, Alvin Fielder, Ra Kalam Bob Moses and NewMusic groups Relative Dissonance, Le Train Bleu, Loop 38, Transitory Sound and Movement Collective. Erosion Control play improvised long form dub adjacent lock-in noise rock minimalism. With Sophie Cooper on tromboe/pedals, Tom Hawkins playing celle/laptop and Flo Christman on drums/tape. Kit Bula: Notes from his recent album: All This Kid Wants is Drum "Sometimes life can be quite difficult because I have to do things that I don't really want to do and lots of people do things that I don't agree with them doing. In those moments it's tempting to avoid finding productive ways to deal with the difficulties and instead bury myself in noise. Noise is good and I'm sure a certain quantity of noise is part of the solution to life difficulties, but there's other stuff that needs doing as well. This album is a sonic documentation of a period of time where all I wanted was to drum and I did that with a whole load of people (who are great and make life less difficult). But now it's time to put that to one side and see drumming as one aspect of an existence that will help put an end to all this bullshit. End fascism, end complacency; start caring, start giving.
