Never in my life did I think I would ever be a part of something associated with THE Michael Jackson. The fact that I am a part of this movie in any capacity at all is mind blowing to me. We all have Michael stories. Growing up emulating him in front of the tv screen, trying to master the moonwalk and watching The Jacksons: An American Dream countless times. When “This Is It” was released I wasn’t even pursuing dance yet but I looked at those dancers in awe, not even being able to imagine what that must’ve been like. His legacy has impacted every dancer one way or another but even the world in general. To honor him in this way is just beautiful. @jaafarjackson and @julianokrue really made us feel like we were watching our goat. I can’t just watch this movie once!
I had auditioned for @rtbrothas way back for “The Get Down” on Netflix but other than that, they always seemed out of reach. Legends of the game that you don’t just see teaching weekly classes. It felt like to work with them meant you were in the upper echelon of the industry. I finally got my chance and mannn what an experience it was. THANK YOU 🙏🏾
My guys @calvitjr@j.rabon and I had the best time getting into character haha you couldn’t tell us nothing once we were transformed into the era. Glad that I got to rock out with y’all and represent the legendary Gladys Knight and the Pips! @livsymone definitely understood the assignment! ✊🏾
@mightymykell and @samosoto mannnn I love seeing y’all shine in your roles behind the scenes. You both have been a part of my journey in different ways and you made the process feel like home in a sense. With the stakes being so high for a project like this, we didn’t feel that pressure. THANK YOU 🙏🏾
💔🌕 A while back @kellypetersnyc let me set this piece on the X Pro dancers at @brickhouse.nyc and they’ve been killing it on the scene lately at different shows & competitions. @luz_nyc also contributed a section so you can imagine how dynamic the whole performance is.
Like she said when she posted hers, nothing can replace what @rioshow__@gotamydance@dancer_boysmith did for the actual tour choreography but it was nice to create to it regardless!

At a loss for words a lot these days whenever I try to explain everything Im feeling but I’m just grateful to he here able to do this.
As I told the class, I haven’t had a weekly teaching slot in New York since 2018 and now it just feels like the right time. I miss being able to connect with this community on a consistent basis. Im not sure if the schedule and amount of slots I have will change but for now catch me at @brickhouse.nyc MONDAYS 4:30-6PM.

One of my Brethren is now one of my angels. What are me and Daah supposed to do without you bro? It just won’t ever be the same. We had so much more to talk about. So much more to create. So much more to rebuild. When I first heard of you from Mikey I was so hype to have another kid who loves Jersey Club join RDT. I had no idea we would go on to be brothers. You were a big reason why I wanted to come around more. It started off with you being inspired and learning from me but man how the tables have turned. You’ve taught me so much and you’re even teaching me more now. You’ve pushed me to be better just from how much you wanted to be better. You had such a curiosity that I resonated with and I was happy to help where I could but Im not even sure if you ever realized how much I leaned on you too. I could take a quick drive around a couple corners to your crib and we would be in that basement just building and dreaming. You gave me hunger again. You even challenged my ego! I was so proud of you bro..I saw myself in you but I more importantly I saw YOU just be you and people fell in love with that. You made me feel seen and appreciated and when I see how everyone around the world speaks of you it makes me smile that we all feel the same.
It really breaks my heart that we never got to have that conversation we were planning. We had so much to talk about man..and I’m so sorry that there was a time I was too afraid to truly lean on you and be open to you holding me accountable as a brother. I was really going through it but I tried to maintain this idea of a big brother role, forgetting that I didn’t need to be perfect and you would’ve had my back no matter what. I promise you I’ve learned my lesson. The rest of the Brethren will hold it down for the community and I’ll be sure to carry out that mission I told you about all those years ago. You would probably tell me to just do it before I overthink lol.
Pauline, I have so so much to say but there also aren’t enough words…Through it all, we all got your back and will help you carry him on.
I couldn’t make it to Sayaw for Sam but I decided to honor him in the way that I know how. I know he loved that song.

Met my guy @diegojoshh back in 2019 in LA and over the years he’s been falling in love with Jersey Club in addition to the other styles he has in his arsenal. This was a nice full circle moment having him back in my class since we haven’t seen each other in person since back then. Much love to @ellestudioroma and everyone who came out to train with us, the energy was crazy and I look forward to the next time!
