It’s Bandcamp Friday today so just wanted to shout about the latest BONSE1 release from @musicbymcgregor 🍄 Ross is a true legend both as a person and as an artist, and he was someone that came to mind quickly after we started the label. Whether it’s his more club based stuff or ambient-leaning bits, his music always has serious depth to it, and it feels like he’s tapped into that even further on this EP. @shokunin98 and I first heard some of these at a wicked @terra.obscura party last year, and instantly knew they would be perfect, so it’s really nice to finally have them out and get so much lovely feedback from people 💚 You can listen via our Bandcamp now and if you buy today, all fees are waived so now is the time :) Big thanks also to @clarapoplemusic for the unbelievable vocals on ‘Craibh Nan Urbal’ and @euan_dawtrey for the pensive spoken word on ‘Elegy Through My Fingers’, and @basicchanel.mp3 for her help on the campaign 🫶

Had Alpha Fett Baby & Robek on an my show a couple weeks back for an Elastics special. July 18 Artist Spotlight: Robek We’re excited to welcome London-based DJ and producer @rob.ek to Friday’s lineup. Rob’s selections span ambient to heavier electronica, often threaded with dub textures and deep low-end. He’s been making waves in the scene through his finely tuned productions and DJ sets, as well as his involvement in @striations_ and @platforms.ldn parties. He also co-runs the excellent collective @bon_se1 , which champions experimental electronic music and supports emerging artists across the UK and beyond. We’re proud to announce that Robek is currently working on RUKI002, and you might just hear some exclusive, unreleased cuts during his set this Friday. Last year, me and @shokunin98 released a couple of tracks on a charity VA from Polyester, and for some reason I never put it on the feed.. but tomorrow we’re heading to Porto to join forces with the crew for a nice and cosy gig at @hotelier_0 , so I thought now was as good a time as any to stick it on there. Made in the wake of last summer’s festivities, feeling the afterglow and nostalgia big time as you can probably hear. Very excited to be getting back into those times from tomorrow, with Alex playing a special debut live set alongside @franciscomaruj_ , and me on DJ duties. Big thanks to @loooouisw , @oliveiramigueel @luis_luzia and hotelier for the space, if you’re around Porto come and join from 5pm :) P.S the full comp is available via Bandcamp and all proceeds continue to go to Heal Palestine, sadly as important now as it was when it was released back in December 🍉

Over the moon to be releasing @mail_er_ ’s Dormant Season EP today on @bon_se1 💙 These tracks feel unique to me, sitting somewhere between ambient, deep techno and more bassy styles, and put together in a super thoughtful way. Big ups to Christoph for the stellar work and patience as we got it all going over the past six months.. It’s our second venture as a label - feels like we’re learning more each time and there’s some really fun stuff in the works for the rest of the year. Working on it with @shokunin98 continues to be an absolute pleasure 👬 Available on all streaming services now, but if you really want to support it’s available to buy on Bandcamp too which does more for smaller, independent artists and labels than streaming ever could tbh.
