It’s taken so much work, support, patience (and caffeine), but we’re finally here. From long days to late nights, this milestone means the world & we are excited for the future & hopefully this means more of roaming with the bean too!

For three years, you've known us as your Thursday–Sunday spot. You asked, you petitioned, you showed up — and we listened. Some of you even collected verbal signatures to make your case :) 🙏🏽
This week we're making some changes — expanding to Mondays and Tuesdays and updating our hours.
This is us taking a leap. We're testing these new hours, learning as we go, and there may be a few adjustments along the way as summer approaches — but we wanted to start before we had it all figured out and we're happy to hear your thoughts — DM us or shoot us an email.
To everyone who asked, who left a note, who started a petition (really)— thank you. You made this happen.
The Berkeley Waterfront is your place to play, decompress, catch up with friends, or just pause for a moment. Slow down with us. We're glad to be here more often for it.

We served coffee inside an auto shop! Two crafts, one roof. There were fine-tuned engines. We were dialing in espresso.
Huge shoutout to @enablers_garage and @bavarianprofessionals !. Beautiful machines all around, and a LOT of cardamom lattes & espressos.
Turns out pulling a perfect shot isn't so different from tuning a perfect engine. Pressure. Timing. Torque. Getting everything to flow just right.
Moral of the story: the bean keeps roaming. Auto shops. Offices. Weddings. Backyards. Wherever the road takes us.

Our Back Wall. Our Backbone.
Most cafes put their menu on the back wall. We put our Community there instead.
When we started Roaming Bean Coffee, we wanted to slow things down. Coffee is a Community crop, from where it's grown to who it reaches. But somewhere the industry got fast and transactional. We're trying to bring it back.
So this wall became a place for YOUR words. Your languages. Your stories. Your love.
Here's the thing though: our first-time visitors? They come in looking for the menu (it's outside, by the way) and instead they're standing there reading messages in 10+ languages. Birthday wishes. Blessings. Positive words. Love from our Community.
They get confused. Then they get it.
And honestly? Even we catch ourselves turning around to read it. We smile. We laugh. We get a little full again. It's a quiet little reminder of why we do this.
This banner is from July 2025, our 2-year celebration. This July, we're turning 3. And we'll have a brand new empty banner ready to be filled with your love.
There's something about being by the water. The sailboats. The kayaks. The breeze. People walk up rushed and the Marina just disarms them. Coffees get sipped slowly. Conversations linger. Strangers turn into friends over a shared bench or the log. We're so lucky to do this here with you all.
