In AFFECT, Florence moves through nine cyclical phases – ‘The Shedding’, ‘__’, ‘The Morning’, ‘The Dreaming’, ‘The Masking’, ‘The Performance’, ‘The Aftermath’, ‘The Hiding’, ‘The Control’.
Drawing from psychology: affect is the immediate, embodied experience of feeling that shapes how we move through the world. Hair becomes the language through which these internal states are made visible – what we hold, and what we release.
