I’m honored to have been invited to be a part of this special project called “Dear Iran” 💚🤍♥️
Though most of my audience knows me as Armenian, both of my parents were born and raised in Iran. My mother is full Armenian and my father was Persian Bahai. Like many Iranians in the diaspora, my parents had to flee Iran during the revolution in the late 70’s.
Armenians, who are Christian, were losing their freedom , while other religious minorities were being fully persecuted. The IRGC regime executed several of my father’s cousins and family members.
I always hoped I could visit Iran one day but I knew that wasn’t possible while this evil GENOCIDAL regime was in control. It was a dream I wasn’t sure would be a possible reality in my lifetime.
Until now.
Social media has caused so much division, noise, and chaos that we have forgotten to just be HUMAN….and be ONE.
With that said, I’m here to do what I do best, which is create art that provides a glimmer of hope in times of despair.
