Le Guin's word magic and exploring how to deepen critical connections to an embodied writing practice and to each other ✨we'll contemplate how the bodies we're in shape the stories we write, how the stories we write shape the worlds we live in, and how to dream up new futures collectively.

hello 💫 this is a monthly gathering of folks interested in writing and reading community. we are guided by Ursula K. Le Guin's 'Steering the Craft: A 21st Century Guide to Sailing the Sea of Story'
this next session we'll be diving into tense. somewhat scary stuff - but i think we'll manage :D all are welcome, bring ya dinner, we'll chat books from 6pm, learn from Ursula's wisdom, and do a couple writing exercises together. i'm interested in dreaming up new and different ways to listen to, bear witness to, nourish, learn from, and respond to eachother's work. as always, i hope that this space offers that. "Workshop" is in the title, i wanna add that myself and everyone who attends holds knowledge, is a teacher, a learner, a knower. this is really exciting to me as my writing practice recently is feeling more like a choir or a quilt or a web that sings and threads many different voices. i hope we can co-create some yummy word magic together.
