Next week @frontyardorg , Tessa Zettel @oum0po & I will share a little about what we’ve been up to as part of T Rudzinskaite Memorial Amateur Lichenologists Society @welikelichen Specifically we’ll be bringing folks up-to-date with the therolinguistics reading group. Looking fwd to catch up. Details below:
Dear members & guests, please join us on Sunday 1 March at Frontyard for a gathering of the Therolinguistics Reading Group. Following on from our fieldwork ~ with @taljaliisa ~ at Saari (12th EcoZone) in the Summer of 2092, your Society co-founders are pleased to share practices, encounters, texts and sounds that arose over those weeks. Lichen karaoke, interpretive baking and eco grime are all on the table. We’ve also selected a curious text to collectively dip into.
Please note: Frontyard seemed surprisingly lichen-shy on our recent survey, so feel free to bring along some of your dearest li-kin!
All beings welcome.
Sunday 1 March, 2–4pm
Frontyard, 228 Illawarra Rd, Marrickville

Come as you are. We’ll check in, move a little, meditate together, and take some time to connect. No experience needed—just bring yourself.
The event is free. An optional donation to Frontyard is welcome.
And as always, there’s the option to grab dinner together afterwards.

Hello all! Some incredible clearing and organising of Frontyard today. Pictured on the left of table is stuff Frontyard is keeping! Pictured on the table and right of photo is stuff Frontyard is going to rehome! This will be a combination of ewaste, donations, cleanup etc etc. If something is calling out to you ~ please claim it if it's yours and take it home! Otherwise, these objects will soon be gone ❤️ This rehoming will have a grace period, this is yet to be determined but when we have a date the janitors will let Frontyard community know. And just noting that Frontyard has big transitional energy at the moment as the Rizzeria moves into an ongoing residency with Frontyard. The space is looking and feeling a little different to how it usually is 🌱 but we're feeling the nourishing excitement of newness, as well as the inevitable grief of change! If you have any desires or ideas on how to document this transition please reach out! Woweeee 💕
Frontyard turns 10 and welcomes a new resident: @therizzeria 💓💗💓💗
Celebrate with us by giving the space a bit of love and cleaning 🧹 on 14 February 2026 from 1pm to 5pm.

TLDR?! Next writing group is on Monday 9th Feb from 6pm 💌
Space to chat about books and writing and do some writing and blah blah blah. This session I'm going to induct some folks into Frontyard (access to space! yay! do you want to be inducted?) and I'd love to have a discussion about writing practice and practice in general and maybe we will workshop some drafts/works in progress together if folks are looking for feedback! Bring ideas, something to workshop, yourself, and whatever your body needs i.e. dinner or snacks or a foam roller etc
This group meets on Gadigal land at Frontyard Projects ~ 228 Illawarra Rd Marrickville ~ from 6-9pm~ish. The space is wheelchair accessible but the toilet doors are narrow and are not, and the closest accessible bathroom is 210m away at the royal exchange. We'll have an air purifier running the in the space. Shoot through a DM if you wanna chat about your access needs to the group and the space in general. See you on Mondayyyy xo
