When Martha Stewart is a fan of your space 🍋 What an honor to stand among so many extraordinarily talented designers and share these spaces with the public. We are thrilled to be part of something that celebrates creativity at the highest level. @kbshowhouse Opening festivities began with dinner at @thecolonypalmbeach , followed by a day filled with tours, conversations, and the kind of design inspiration that reminds you why you love this industry in the first place. Most importantly, this show house benefits the incredible work of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County — organizations dedicated to empowering and supporting the next generation. Design with purpose is always the most beautiful kind. Open to the public now through March 24 - come see us! We can’t wait to share more of our space with you soon. 💗 A huge thanks to all who made the River Brook Tiki Hut possible: @schumacher1889 @schumacher_south @artistic_tile @reflectel.mirrortv @calia.stone @sherillfurniturebrands @lillianaugust @pookylightus @elegantearthinc @madegoods @capscustomupholstery @nextlevelavl @theshadestore @prairie.interiors @samuelandsons @kohler @royalgreenappliance @benjaminmoore @_lauradeems @hannahpmorrisart @joeturner.art @skisbellart @rebeccajack.artist @kristinblakeneyart @laureldawn.cornerstudio @deadartistsgallery @daisyjonesart @arzbergerstationers @kathleen_varner @laureywglenn #Westpalmbeach #interiordesign #architecturaldigest #kipsbay #homedesign

We are beyond thrilled to share that our St. Charles project is on the cover of this month’s Southern Living magazine! @southernlivingmag This home was a complete tear down and rebuild — thoughtfully designed and brought to life in just 8 months from demo to move-in. Every architectural detail, every finish, every layer was considered with intention. Let us know if you have any questions on this project below! #interiordesign #southernliving #homewoodal #homeremodel #homeexterior

Here’s the real truth: some of the smartest home transformations don’t come from adding more square footage — they come from rethinking the space you already have. When redesigning this home, our goal was to maximize the clients’ budget while creating a kitchen that felt intentional, functional, and tailored to the way they live. Instead of building a full addition from the ground up, we looked at the existing footprint and asked ourselves how we could work smarter with what was already there. By enclosing the former carport, we were able to create an entirely new kitchen footprint while still maintaining garage space — making the renovation far more cost-effective than starting from scratch. The result: a kitchen filled with warmth, natural materials, architectural detail, and a layout that feels seamlessly integrated into the home. Sometimes the best design decisions come from seeing the potential in what already exists. #kitchentransformation #kitchenrenovations #kitchenremodeling #interiordesign #birminghamal

The power of the 5th wall — the ceiling. One of the biggest mistakes people make when designing their home is overlooking the ceiling. Adding architectural detail overhead creates another layer of visual interest, draws the eye upward, and gives a space a greater sense of height and dimension. We love incorporating groin vaults, reeded ceilings, barrel arches, and even wallpapered ceilings to bring character and depth into a home. These thoughtful details are what make a home feel timeless — designed to be enjoyed for years to come. #interiordesign #homedesign #architecturaldetails #architecture #birminghamal

What Pinterest doesn’t see — behind the build at our Bonita project, featuring the pool house. A returning client we’ve had the privilege of working with before came back to us for even more — adding a custom pool house and additional updates throughout the main home (which we can’t wait to share more of soon). From full design to construction, every detail was thoughtfully considered to create spaces that feel both beautiful and functional for the way this family truly lives. This pool house is full of bold personality and character while still remaining clean, sophisticated, and timeless. Durable materials were key here — designed to withstand wet feet, entertaining, kids running in from the pool, and years of everyday use without sacrificing style. The details, planning, problem-solving, and craftsmanship behind spaces like this are what make design-build so rewarding to us. Questions about the process? Drop them below! #interiordesign #homedesign #homebuilding #poolhouse #birminghamal

How much does it cost to work with River Brook Design & Construction? One of our most frequently asked questions. The truth is — there’s no one-size-fits-all answer when building a custom home. Every project is different depending on a client’s priorities, lifestyle, and where they want to allocate their investment. On average, our homes typically range anywhere from around $250 to $550+ per square foot depending on the level of finishes, fixtures, architectural details, outdoor living spaces, hardscape, pools, and more. For example, a 5,000 square foot home could range anywhere from approximately $1.4M to well north of $2.7M depending on the scope and selections throughout the home. At the end of the day, building a home is all about customization — and those details make all the difference. Questions? Ask them in the comments below! #interiordesign #homedesign #homerenovation #homeremodel #birminghamal

Our Bonita project's kitchen + laundry room This client wanted a home full of more personality, so we introduced a bold black-and-white palette throughout the space while keeping the existing layout intact. One of our favorite details is the kitchen island — designed to feel like a solid block of marble placed directly into the kitchen. Through detailed fabrication and mitered stonework, we achieved the look while still maintaining fully functional cabinetry and hidden storage. The laundry room also remained in the exact same location, but by adding concealed doors and carrying the same bold palette into the space, it now feels far more cohesive with the kitchen and overall design of the home. A perfect example of balancing form and function without requiring a full gut renovation. #interiordesign #kitchenrenovation #hometransformation #birminghamal

Big whoops at a recent project 👀 When these cabinets were installed, we immediately realized the color wasn’t matching the trim the way it was supposed to. So… they had to come right back out and be rematched. One thing people don’t always realize: when you’re matching cabinetry to trim or wall colors, you typically aren’t using the exact same paint product. Cabinetry requires a lacquer finish, which has to be custom color-matched to standard wall or trim paint — and sometimes that match can shift more than expected once installed in the space and natural light. It’s a mistake that’s completely avoidable with enough sampling and testing, but every now and then things can still slip through the cracks. The good news? We caught it immediately and fixed it before moving forward. Part of creating a truly custom home is obsessing over the details — even when it means redoing something entirely to get it right. #interiordesign #homedesign #homerenovation #kitchendesign
