Elvira chair in aluminum with handwoven cellulose rope seat, in collaboration with
@bottegaintreccio .
The seat is constructed through a manual weaving process where the material works in tension, generating a continuous, load-bearing surface rather than a simple covering. The radial pattern distributes weight across the structure, ensuring comfort without the use of padding.
The use of cellulose rope, a fiber derived from paper, allows for a finer, more defined texture, giving the chair a sharper and more contemporary character while preserving the logic of traditional weaving.
Founded in the Marche region,
@bottegaintreccio builds on a long-standing craft tradition, reinterpreting chair weaving through a rigorous, design-driven approach.
