๐ Happy United Nations @unitednations Day! ๐ ๐บ๐ณ
Today, we celebrate unity, peace, and the shared vision of a world where every human being, regardless of race, background, or status, has the right to live in dignity and hope.
As a United Nations Volunteer from Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ and the United Kingdom ๐ฌ๐ง, I stand with the United Nations in promoting compassion, justice, and sustainable development for all. My mission aligns with this global call, to uplift the underprivileged, empower communities, and bring healing where there is need. My Voluntary Work for the UN ๐บ๐ณ focuses on the nation of Myanmar on their recent earthquake crisis.
Let us remember that lasting change begins with love in action. Each act of kindness, each effort to serve humanity, contributes to building the world we all dream of, one of peace, equity, and hope. ๐๐ค
๐ฌ โBlessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.โ โ Matthew 5:9

Last week, I represented Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ at the Commonwealth Youth Development Summit 2026, where young leaders from across the Commonwealth came together with a shared goal: turning ideas into meaningful action.
Over the course of three days, youth leaders, policymakers, and development partners engaged in thoughtful discussions, exchanged experiences, and challenged one another to think critically about the future of young people. The conversations centred on key areas including Leadership, Economic Resilience, Environmental Resilience, and Democratic Resilience, all with the understanding that sustainable progress depends on young people actively shaping the systems that influence their lives.
Several moments stood out to me. There were powerful reminders that young people are not just future leaders, but leaders right now. There were also honest conversations about the barriers that often exclude youth from leadership spaces, and the urgent need to create genuine opportunities for young people to step forward and lead.
Discussions around economic resilience were particularly engaging, highlighting youth entrepreneurship, digital innovation, and improving access to finance. One of the most impactful aspects of the summit was the collaborative sessions, where youth delegates worked together to contribute to a policy document that will be presented at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
What resonated most was the collective commitment to move beyond conversation and focus on implementation, ensuring that youth voices lead to tangible outcomes and lasting impact. I also made some new friends and it was a great atmosphere.
Iโm truly grateful to the @officialcyc , especially Chairperson @jkopey , along with the entire organising team, for creating such a meaningful and impactful space.
I leave the summit inspired by the connections made, the ideas exchanged, and the shared determination among young leaders across the Commonwealth to build solutions for both present and future generations.
The work continues.

At the just concluded Commonwealth Youth Development Summit, I had the honor of representing Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ and engaging in meaningful conversations around economic resilience.
This experience deepened my understanding that economic resilience is not merely about wealth or access to resources. It is about the ability to adapt, endure, and recover in the face of uncertainty. True resilience is built over time, through discipline, informed decision-making, and a willingness to evolve when circumstances change.
In todayโs rapidly shifting global economy, resilience means diversifying income streams, investing in knowledge, and cultivating a mindset that embraces change rather than fears it. Itโs about preparing for setbacks without allowing them to define us.
On a personal level, economic resilience is also reflected in our daily habits, how we spend, save, and prioritize. Small, consistent actions can create a strong foundation for long-term stability. Ultimately, itโs not just about how much we have, but how well we manage and grow what we have.
Economic resilience is both a strategy and a mindset. It requires patience, awareness, and the courage to make decisions that may not yield immediate rewards, but secure a stronger and more sustainable future.
