My late art vs. artist!
Real talk, I wasn't sure I wanted to post anything to reflect on 2025 since I'm eager to leave it behind me.
The constant theme of 2025 seemed to be the importance of mental health...including how weird people still get when it comes to talking about it.
So I guess I should honor that lesson and talk about it.
Losing a loved one who took their own life shaped the majority of my year, and watching people I love experience immense pain around that has changed my brain chemistry forever. This past year I felt pain in ways that are still hard to articulate.
A combination of some other difficult situations was enough to tip me over the edge and I crumbled there for a bit. But wow, how lucky I am that so many people in my life want to catch me when I fall.
This past year I was reminded about the power of human connection. It's crucial and can't be replaced or substituted.
Shout out to my people who love me & kept me afloat all year. 💜 I owe you everything. 💜
I was also reminded about the healing power of art.
My artistic deadlines became the hardest thing to keep on track, but also became the only thing to give me a sense of purpose as I collapsed. Though I wasn't able to sculpt many new things, I replicated many pieces on a constant rotation. So I've decided to be happy with that, even though my original goals for the year looked a bit different.
Sincerely, thank you for being part of my artistic journey all year. Your enthusiasm and support at conventions and online is truly irreplaceable to me!
Through art I have purpose, no matter what happens around me. Thank you for helping me live that reality!

The wise, old "Toad Astrologer" 🐸
He's not judging you... he's just burdened with a wealth of knowledge!
This is the 2nd prompt for @drawtober & it brought me copious amounts of joy while creating this. I honestly can't wait to make more toads to adopt into the world!
✨️The toad is sculpted in @monsterclayusa , hand molded & poured in resin, then painted in acrylic. I constructed his hat from scrap fabric & trim, and his beard is made from a Q-tip.

"Candlelit Messenger" 🕯🎃
If you find yourself lost in the woods, slow your run to a walk. Light the candle that lives within you, and you will always find your way. Carry your message with self assuredness. The long way is often more scenic, so enjoy the walk.
I've wanted to attempt a "book nook" for a while now. Playing with a lit-up, miniature environment was a fun challenge, and I think I may create more book nooks in the future to share in my shop!
This piece was made for @Drawtober prompt #1, "Candlelit Messenger."
Details are hand sculpted in clay, molded, hand poured in resin, and then painted.
