On May 13, a @jica_pr delegation including Dr. Mizno Keiko and Ms. Kuriki Suzuka from JICA HQ, along with Chief Advisor Ms. Chiho Ohashi and the JICA-AQAL-III team, visited Middle Tech Non-Formal Education Centers managed by Indus Resource Center with support from Right To Play. The team observed model lessons and interactive games promoting inclusion and confidence—especially among adolescent girls. This visit was followed by our meeting with Additional Secretary Dr. Fozia Khan and Director of Literacy & NFE Sindh Mr. Abdul Jabbar Mari to discuss expanding quality learning for out-of-school children. This visit was a key highlight for us to key how play can be a powerful learning tool for OOSC.

Right To Play, in collaboration with @bard_foundation , @care_foundation , and @lahore_college_for_women_uni , marked the International Day of Sport for Peace and Development by bringing together stakeholders, athletes, and young students to build a shared understanding of how sport goes beyond physical activity and is a powerful tool for driving social change in educational institutions and communities. The day featured engaging discussions with experts from diverse sectors, sparking meaningful dialogue on the role of sport in development. And of course, the celebration wouldn’t be complete without action—participants also got hands-on experience in archery, truly embodying the spirit of sport.

We had the pleasure of hosting H.E. Tarik Ali Khan, High Commissioner of Canada, for an energetic interaction with our young football enthusiasts as part of our CFLI-supported initiative. It was fantastic to see him join the girls on the field, sharing a few fun moments over football while also discussing FIFA and the powerful role sports can play in shaping perspectives. @canada.pakistan

A milestone moment for education in Pakistan. Today, Right To Play has signed an MoU with the @mofept.pak in collaboration with the Federal Directorate of Education embedding Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) through play into all primary government schools of Islamabad. The MoU signing was overseen by the honorable Federal Minister @drkhalidmaqboolsiddiqui , Secretary MoFE&PT Mr. Nadeem Mahbub, Country Director Right To Play International Mr. @alikhayam and DG FDE, Mr. Junaid Akhlaq. Through this collaboration, teachers will be enabled to effectively use play based learning to inculcate social emotional learning among children. We are excited and proud of this partnership and what it means for children across the FDE schools. #RightToPlay #Pakistan #MoFEPT #Education #EveryChildMatters

Last week, RTP Pakistan, together with @@care_foundation and @bard_foundation Foundation, marked the International Day of Sport for Peace and Development with a series of events at CARE Adopted Schools in Lahore. Boys competed in a volleyball tournament while girls took to the football ground. These are kids who often don't get access to organized sport so we took this year's International Day of Sport for Development and Peace as a opportunity to tell these kids why sports matter beyond physical activity.

Right To Play Pakistan participated in the Pakistan Learning Festival in Lahore and our teams conducted play-based and interactive activities that showed exactly what we believe that children learn best when they're engaged, active, and having fun. Play is not a break from learning. It is the learning.
