On October 15Th, 2023 Our Brother, Comrade and Friend Marco Mujahid Maldonado ascended to paradise Insha-Allah(God Willing)...
Mu, as we all affectionately called would have turned 50 years old today, November 18th. Ironically just days after his the 47th anniversary of his birth, he was by the grace of Allah (God) Set Free after close to 3 decades of unfortunate incarceration.
Mu, was instrumental in the creation of Right2Redemption, back in 2010/2011. In fact Mu was the first Chairperson of our Committee, but due too his unrelenting focus on his education and personal litigation he was unable to continue on as our chair.
Mu, went on to receive his Master Degree and regained his Freedom! "RESPECT!!!!"
On this day, along with Mu's, Family, Friends, Supporters and Collegues, Right2Redemption would like to share one of his many powerful Reflections!

COVID cases are rising slightly in Philadelphia reminding us that this pandemic is not over. Back in 2021, member Charles Karim said the above quote regarding COVID fatalities at SCI Phoenix. Though many are "moving on" from the worst days of the pandemic, we must remember the people lost and the ways the pandemic has irreversibly changed our society.
