Now? Legs heavy. Heart full.
Today we rode A Day in Hell. Not to prove anything to anyone else. Just to feel what those roads ask of you. The potholes, the gravel, the mud, the quiet madness that makes this sport what it is.
For some, this was familiar ground. For others, it was a first step into something that once felt out of reach.
Every single person who showed up today. You did something hard. You kept going when the road said stop. That’s everything.
Deep gratitude to @rapha_newyork for putting on this event. For creating a space where riders at every level can test themselves, suffer together, and come out the other side smiling. This is what community looks like.

I #choosecycling because it provides me inner quiet, peace and serenity. In the moment, I am focused on my breathing, my cadence, my heart rate, on the road ahead, on the things around me and in that moment there’s no room for problems, insecurities, doubt, or anything negative. I #choosecycling because it’s good for my mind, my body and my spirit. It doesn’t matter if I’m going fast or slow, uphill or downhill, alone or with others. Everything looks better from the bike.
