Emily + Paul melting my camera with hotness and lighting up the night 🔥
I particularly loved the part in Em’s dad, Bryan’s speech where after a long career in the police force, he felt himself capable of busting Em in the process of sneaking out of her room at night. So he set up an elaborate trip wire system across the front gate, up to his bedroom and connected to his night light. Sure enough, no sooner had he announced he was retiring early for the night, the wire was tripped, the light snapped on and out he charged to the front yard, skipping down the stairs three at a time, beaming with delight that he’d finally caught his man.
Only.... he hadn’t.
There in the front yard, looking sheepish as ever, was in fact Em’s younger sister, Claire. Busted, yes. But not the prize Bryan was chasing that night.
He looked up to Em’s bedroom window, and there in the soft glow of her bedside lamp, he swore he saw something move. He shielded his eyes from the flood light and looked again.
Could it be? Yes. Yes, it was definitely there....
Emily’s face, defiantly grinning in triumph as she whispered the words “you will never catch me”.
